I'm guessing what he meant is that he doesn't put them in for kids that tell him their decision personally.
You'd think Aaron Rodgers could afford a nicer ride.
For clarity's sake, maybe state who thee_Matty_D (or any other twitter handle) is when posting in the future. Many of us do not have the twitter handles of the members of the staff memorized. Yes, I was able to find out that it is Matt Dudek, Michigan's Direcotr of Recruiting, using Google, but why not just say that in the post?
It is looking like 2019 recruiting is going the way of 2018; just earlier in the cycle. I don't think we have a crystal ball from a top 100 recruit . We got a couple of good ones early, and will probably lose one of them, but after that there are not too many other bright spots. Filling early spots with guys rated ranked 500-1000 doesn't tell me they are very optomistic about their chances with higher ranked guys either. It's disappointing that we may be taking a guy ranked outside of 1000 10 months before signing day. Worse, its is at probably our biggest area of need, and biggest weaness, but we forgot to recruit the two highest rated OT's to come out of our state in the last 20 years. These are mistakes I would have never expected when Harbaugh came here.
Only 247 has ranked him. So by default he'll be in the 1,000's
Makes sense. I can't imagine they send a lot of resources out to CT to do early scouting at these recruting sites.
I live in CT and they don't. The state is largely ignored by just bout everyone. If a OL from here is even at 1000 this early there's a very good chance he's both underscouted and has a lot of upside.
disaster, you are now saying it makes sense? At least be a consistent douchebag.
For the brain dead star gazers, I am not declaring that we will have a top 5 class - that is where it is right now. I have no idea where it will end up, the 2018 season will determine that.
a looming disaster predicting that we get no more top recruits and losing one of the only ones we are already have. I stopped reading it when he said "worse..."
I was not flaunting anything, I specifically wrote that we won't necessary have a top class and that only the 2018 season can determine that. That being said, I can only imagine the hysteria on this Board if we were currently 50th instead of 5th in the rankings.
Not sure what you were even reading?!?!?!
Gonna have to agree with Paradise on this one...
Sorry, unlike you don't have all the answers. Another poster made a valid point. Should I stick by by original argument then and be an internet douchbag like you, or give him credit for bringing up a good point.
Idiots like you are why I never post on blogs like this. Typical asshat that knows everything.
Here in mid-April and yet I am an @sshat that knows everything. I was pointing out that you are trashing a class that is currently in the top 5 and #1 in the B1G.
I actually liked the fact that you softened your view. It was the first idiotic post that I was criticizing with the douchebag reference. However, to clarify, it is better that you were inconsistent in this case.

We lead for two if not all three of the top three OTs in 2020. Also, Devontae Dobbs will not be an OT in college and Brown grew up a Wisconsin fan - that was his dream offer and he didn't choose them because he felt neglected by us.
Yeah I think it's a little of both of these things - Drevno and lack of communication when the recruiting department turned over. I also get the impression that Dobbs is just the type of kid that wants to buck the norm. Like, a little contrarian, doesn't want to go to the school everyone figured he would. I could really see him leaving the region and going to Georgia or something. Just the impression I get, not based on anything concrete.
I would be ok with Dobbs going out of region to GA, Bama or the likes
Yeah. I think USC is an option too. I'd like Truss too.
Michigan, not even close. Harrison is a top 10 prospect nationally, I don't think Dobbs is even the best player on his team.
Well Dobbs is ranked in the top ten right now and I don't see that at all. I think he's more like a guy that should be right around 100. He's athletic, but he doesn't stand out on his own team. The Payne kid is going to be better. I think Jalen Hunt is a good prospect. Barnett is fine. Dobbs is just a "good" prospect to me, not a great one. He's certainly not a top 3 player in the state this year.
No, I think Barnett is pretty solid to MSU.
Michigan has a shot with a top 3 player out of Ohio? Yeah I have a hard time believing this.
#3 is committed, so....
Harrison is #3 in the country. Rumler is #95 overall. There's quite a disparity...
Granted it would be great to get some revenge on them snagging Webb and Weber away from Michigan.

going on with Belleview
I don't care if Sam Webb dismisses it or not
We will have many to prospects signing up after the season. If we go 8-4 or 7-5 we may have a recruiting season on par with 2018. If we finish somewhere in between we should have a better recruiting class than 2018.
...weanesses, i'm not sure exactly what to fill a weaness with but if this our biggest weaness we better fill it with one huge....
