OT What's your favorite candy?

Submitted by corundum on

So is it OT season yet? Yes? No? Maybe?

Either way, I'm having an absolutely fucked day at work because our IT department's incompetency is Dave Brandon as CEO level. I thought I would kill some time by starting a heated MgoBoard debate.

What is your favorite candy and why is it Peanut M&M's?

Not usually a big candy person, but can’t ever go wrong with original Starburst. No better taste in candy than taking a bunch of cherry and lemon starbursts and eating them all at the same time.

hmmm, we’re have IT issue at work too. Maybe we work at the same place. Anyway, do you know peanut M&Ms are Harbaugh’s favorite or was that just coincidence?

Purely coincidence although he has great taste. For some reason one of my earliest childhood memories is when they swapped out the tan color for the blue. The green and orange colored peanut M&M's give me some serious nostalgia.

Candies that are hard to find in my area: 5th Avenue Bar and Whatchamacallit. I also love 100 Grand (aka $100,000 Bar), but those I can find easily. Milky Way just on the outside of the top 3 looking in.

Yummmmm! I found some old fashioned hard candies at the checkout counter a couple weeks ago at Tractor Supply Co. when I went to get my propane tank refilled (pro tip: at $2.49/gal, it costs less than half what it costs to exchange a propane tank at gas stations). Back to the hard candies, I bought a bag of Claey's Lemon Drop candy and a bag of Horehound Drops. And right now as I'm posting I'm sucking on one of those horehounds. Bet not too many here ever tried one or even know what a horehound drop is.

Great post, OP. It's a refreshing departure from the useless (e.g., thoughts-and-prayers posts referencing a tragedy unrelated to Michigan sports and already covered on all major sports sites) posts that occasionally clutter the board.

Correct. I won't eat Reese's unless it has been chilling in the fridge for a while. I also love seeing the commercials now from them, suggesting to eat them cold. Yeah, Reese's. I invented that decades ago. I should be getting royalties for that idea.
