Ohio State lose 4 major contributors on the D-Line in DE Jalyn Holmes, DE Sam Hubbard, DE Tyquan Lewis, and DT Tracy Sprinkle, but they also return several experienced players who played 150+ snaps this year:

  • DE Nick Bosa: 537 snaps
  • DT Dre'Mont Jones: 441 snaps
  • DT Robert Landers: 271 snaps
  • DE Chase Young: 192 snaps
  • DT Jashon Cornell: 178 snaps
  • DE Jonathan Cooper: 172 snaps

So depth-wise, Tyler Friday might start his career out as a DE for Ohio State, but Bosa and Young have pretty much locked up the starting DE positions. Plus, Jashon Cornell will probably move back outside to his natural SDE spot, which would have OSU's current roster at 5 scholarship DEs, and 8 scholarship DTs ahead of the Class of 2018.

As long as we can finish with at least 2 out of the 3 below, I'll be happy:

Reese - Need to keep him so we can maintain momentum in Georgia. Going to be tough, but we have roots there and we need to steal some recruits from such a talent rich state. Will be even tougher with both UGA and Clemson playing at a high level.

Petit-Frere and Patterson - Need some more bullets in our chamber for the OL, and these two kids have the size and potential to be 2 or 3 year starters.

I don’t think anyone is happy with an 8-5 season man. The point is, what are we as fans going to do about it? Nothing, because there is nothing we can do, except sit back and hope for the best. Whining and posting like this guy is doing is really annoying.

Facts aren’t annoying, someone who reminds me of a 60 year old woman going through menopause is annoying. The point is, we are fans we can’t do anything. You are acting like you are the only one who wants to win and be elite. You are crazy.

Maizen wastes an inordinate amount of energy complaining. Comes off as just a miserable fuck, no matter if it's a valid argument or not.

His sex life with StraightDave (Don't let the name mislead you)  is really fatigued and suffering. Put some of that energy toward loving the one you love, Maizen.

He also is a no show anytime Michigan does well. Especially when he attacked Beilein all year and when we finally did well, he was nowhere to be found. He makes solid points and critizes things that shoud be criticized but he also is only around to bitch about shit. He enjoys misery and doesn't know what to do anytime else. If Michigan wins a national title, he won't know what to do with himself. At the end of the day he is a miserable dick that only enjoys complaining. If he balanced out his act then maybe he wouldn't receive so much criticism. However, that is not the case.

You guys have negative a million points because you’re whining, complaining, insufferable, broken-record douchebags who aren’t accomplishing anything by doing so. The fact that you don’t get that makes you look even worse. No one is happy about 8-5 yet you claim people are because you are ignorant pessimists who think your opinion is the only correct one.

Didn't you hear? Just "wait til next year" and "we'll be fine" because "Harbaugh." Oh, and recruiting rankings don't really matter, even though all the data says they do.

If you didn’t know, this guy has a fetish for MGoPoints. He has been banned 10+ times and keeps coming back with new accounts, trying to gain as many MGoPoints as possible. Don’t argue with him. He writes at a third grade level, and thinks at a third grade level as well. It’s impossible to understand half of the stuff he writes.

If baseless whining, negativity for negativity's sake, and interchanging with some form of "unacceptable" is the only way to prove a fan isn't fine with 8-5, put me in the snowflake category.

How easy it was for OSU to miss on their top guy and then close with Friday. WTF. Wasn't Michigan in on him for year+? And doesn't he realize he was second pickings for OSU? F OSU. More annoyed with their ease of poaching whoever the F they want. Negative recruiting works. Easy to imagine them saying "Psh you wanna for to Michigan? the team we've beaten for million years?" This blows. Time to win big games in 2018 and close on a historic 2019 class and give middle finger to Meyer.

People downvote the Maizen guy because they know he is right.

Remember when everyone shit on the guy who lost his mind after we found out Ulizio was starting at OT?   Well it turns out that guy was right and now it looks like Maizen is right, too.

And I get tired of reading about OSU coming to Dallas and offering a kid a scholarship in front of the kid's entire team.  Or MSU coming to Southlake to offer a kid in person.

Where is Jimmy?

Another thing like this that bugs me is the people making fun of the “fire Beilein” crowd from last season. It’s so hypocritical, because the large majority of the board wanted him fired at the time. Now everyone is acting like they rode with Beilein all the way.

maizen was blasted because he was a negative dick. he said things like M comes again on the recruiting trail when a kid missed a flight sure to weather. he would leave out critical information to paint a negative picture. further, your Ulizio example isn't exactly right. those posts made a lot of insider type assumptions without much actual info. most people didn't say you're wrong, they said you don't know that, there are many possible scenarios so let's just relax. being right can be dumb luck, especially when little to no supporting evidence is provided.

"he said things like M comes again on the recruiting trail when a kid missed a flight sure to weather."

LOL what?

And as far as Ulizio, lets take a trip down memory lane and see what people were saying about him when he committed.

You mean how the vast majority for happy he signed and wished him a luck and a couple of assholes complained about stars and were (mostly) ignored?

I really honestly wonder what's up with you.  You really don't seem to enjoy Michigan sports.  You loved complaining about Beilein and then when he didn't get fired you stopped posting, and then Michigan had a down year and you came roaring back.  Like, you sometimes make factually true, if not particularly relevant or full of context, statements around here, but you are so perpetually angry that it can't be fun for you.  I mean, even if you get off on being negative, there are other ways to do it.  And don't tell me some bullshit about how you like to speak truth to power or aren't drinking the kool-aid, because that's not what most people do around here and you are so profoundly not that intellectually honest.

The voting here is flawed.  Maizen is very negative, but his points do often contain facts that are not wrong.  People should vote the content and not the user.

If I post that Franklin has been a better hire to this point, I will get negged.  But looking at results on the field and national views on the programs, it is very easilty debatable.

Jim lacked fire last year.

Maizen is fine. People complain about him too much. He is a little too negative but what do u expect from a fan who has seen his team shit the bed for most of the last 15 years. You can only take so much. I'm sure he wishes for better days, like all of us

eh not a huge deal really.

Mostly shitty because OSU probably turned up the heat just to have him not be in Michigans class. Friday as a prospect is good but not elite. F OSU for kicking dirt in the eyes.

The dline class for 2019 is filthy.
