Need to change this to a drinking thread now that Ohio and the fucknuts are going to win.

I just finished a Death By Coconut by Oskar Blues and now I am on a Breakfest Stout. Anyone care to share or no?

Go blue.

Even if OSU wins by 40, I don't see how you can let them into the playoffs. A blowout home loss to Oklahoma that wasn't even as close as the 31-16 final score, doesn't seem to hurt them. But losing 55-24 to unranked, 5 loss Iowa should automatically disqualify them. Iowa is not good. One week after destroying OSU, they lost to Purdue!

The problem is everyone else's resume sucks.  If you put in Alabama, you are rewarding a team for putting together a Wisconsin schedule (admittedly: not Bama's fault FSU sucked this year) and losing their division.  USC's resume is flatly worse than OSU's with the same theoretical record.  Miami is going to be on a two game losing streak and was lucky to have the record they have anyway.  Auburn has three losses.  Fuck Notre Dame.

OSU is going to get into the playoffs because Wisconsin, a team nobody really thought was all that good, didn't get tripped up until now and so it's OSU "beating undefeated Wisconsin" vs. "beating 2-loss Wisconsin", and that'll probably be enough.

The funny thing is OSU gets a lot of credit for playing a tough-ish schedule, even though they lost by 15 at home to OU and by 31 to Iowa, because apparebntly beating the tar out of MSU and just scrapping by PSU and Michigan down to their 3rd-string QB is deemed impressive.  Alabama has one loss, on the road, to a rival in the last game of the year.  It don't want anyone to believe I actually like Alabama, but OSU gets an insane number of benefits of the doubts every year, and it's getting annoying.  The Big 10 probably doesn't deserve a contender for the national title this year, and that's okay.  I still think Auburn would beat either of these teams, Alabama would destroy Wisconsin and just mash OSU; hell, UCF would put a whooping on either.  But they'll get in, lose to Georgia or Clemson, and everyone will just sort of forget it in 6 months.

The playoff committee could change the number of teams in the playoffs every year. If Wisconsin wins, they deserve to get in. If OSU wins, there is a huge gap in resume between Clemson/Oklahoma/Georgia and OSU/Bama. I think people arguing for 8 teams in the playoffs are crazy. This year, there should only be 3
