Initially Harbaugh said he could be cleared as early as today:

For all we know, Today is the conditioning day which makes tomorrow full practice day
November 22nd, 2017 at 1:25 PM ^
Correct.
To be clear, I didn't post this trying to imply that it meant Peters is done for in terms of his OSU availability; just that, he could have been cleared by today, and it appears he has not been. I had not really seen any updates since that initial comment by Harbaugh in terms of his progression. Fingers crossed the status changes tomorrow or Friday.

"just that, he could have been cleared by today, and it appears he has not been."
Not necessarily. It hasn't yet been 72 hours since the injury. I'm not 100% sure, but I do think that matters (for some reason, can't remember why exactly, so may be wrong), and that clearance could still come later today.
Edit: Confirmed, more or less, by what Pep actually said:
"...it's on an hour to hour, day to day basis where he stands..."

It is slightly nebulous. Though 72 hours from Saturday at ~ 2:30 would have expired yesterday at the same time. So I think if he had been completely symptom free, he could have been cleared by now.
That being said, it certainly is possible he is cleared at some other point later today.

It's important to watch the actual video clip of Pep's comments, as Baumgartner's summation in his tweet is accurate, but incomplete when it comes to what Pep actaully said. There is important information that was left out of the tweet.

miracle recovery too, but that now seems less likely.
November 22nd, 2017 at 1:35 PM ^
Pep technically didn't say Speight wasn't cleared for contact, just that he was still practicing non-contact.
If he was cleared for contact before OSU, I wouldn't expect him to take any before the game, just to be safe.

I like both of them. But at the risk of sounding defeatist I don't know that I want either of them, with pre-exisitng health problems, facing the death rush that OSU is likely to bring. Especially Speight. I want to win, but I never want to see a motionless player on the field again.

on an inside straight, well I got no chance of losing this time...

Nice to see the CFB gods helping out so voraciously. /s

I mean, I always sort of assumed it would be O'Korn. Maybe he'll be able to mount some semblance of an offense and Michigan will have a chance. But I fear this will be sorta like the PSU game, where the score will be closer than reality for a bit.

This will not suffice. I need hourly updates, please.
November 22nd, 2017 at 1:28 PM ^
I am not trying to bash O'Korn, but at this point, the sample size is good enough to say that he is not a D1 QB in this offense. He might be fine running something different or simpler, but he clearly just doesn't have it in the harboffense, and the coaches have so little confidence in either (a) his ability; (b) his decision making; or (c) his knowledge of the offense, that they will not let him even attempt much more than handoffs and a few short tosses. This makes our offense so one-dimensional that it is painfully easy to stop.
Saturday should be fun.

yep, JOK need to be in the shotgun, for whatever reason he is just more comfortable so why not put him in a better position to do good work

November 22nd, 2017 at 1:59 PM ^
if RR had JOK in his offense at AZ I bet he would be better...
he is definitely not a pro-style QB

He needs to just arm punt it to whomever is in single coverage on 3rd and long . . . and hope for PI, or a miracle one-handed catch that happens to us 3 or 4 times a game.

I really hope the OL has its best game and UM is able to run on them. Obviously the secondary is their big weakness but Iowa and UNLV were able to move the ball on the ground against OSU, so its possible.
November 22nd, 2017 at 1:55 PM ^
back in full strength...
Big Mike is better than Ruiz at this point playing RG.
(Ruiz is going to be an All American at center if he stays/ starts 3 more years)

OP or Mods really need to update this thread, as Baumgartner's tweet isn't a complete encapsulation of what Pep actually said and it's inducing a lot of panic and negative reaction for no reason. At the very least, add in the video clip to Pep's comments, as there is information missing from the tweet (and OP) that is important.

If O'Korn is going to be the QB for this game, I seriously do not even want to watch. Chalk up another year of losing to Ohio State.
November 22nd, 2017 at 1:52 PM ^
..dvr and then decide to watch or not later..
I've been doing that lately because watching this team live peaks my blood pressure
to an extreme level

Yeah dude, might as well just give up. Why doesn't the team just walk out, shake hands, and head back to the locker room? Maybe that can make your day more tolerable. Never in history has an 8-3 team beat a 9-2 team before
