was it that MSU lost Cooke and their backup played in a monsoon in Columbus. OSU was number one at the time if I recall.
MSU won.

are undefeated and play a close game I think both get in. If ND wins out they are in. Unless Wiscy wins out I think the B1G is out. Clemson or Miami wins out and couod get in. Oklahoma or TCU win out they have a chance.
What is interesting is what happens with Washington if they win out? They are 7-1 and ranked 12. But if there's an undefeated bama, miami, and wisconsin, that leaves 2 of a one-loss UW, UGA, or OK out.
I root for chaos but I don't think Wiscy or Miami win out.

If it can't be us, then fuck 'em.

Not until Wisconsin loses. They aren't leaving an unbeaten P5 team out.

Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. They have a good team this year and really what a crappy way to end the game. In a conference of football powers and basketball powers they're kinda okay in both but not really good..and that seems to mean a lot of heartbreak over time.

Heisman candidate Saquon Barkley ran for 63 yards on 14 attempts and caught three passes for 33 yards but was held out of the end zone.
Trace McSorely threw for 381 yards and three touchdowns but was picked off three times.
Brian Lewerke was excellent, going 33-for-56 passing for 400 yards, two touchdowns, and on interception.
Despite rainy conditions and a three-hour delay, the MSU (7-2, 5-1 Big Ten) offense relied on the passing game all day--LJ Scott was MSU's leading rusher with 43 yards.

by tradition. But still, good God, they make completing downfield passes look so easy, it's just hard to believe we make it look so tough.
