You'd be wrong: (http://www.detroitnews.com/story/sports/college/university-michigan/201…)

James Jr. was born when Jim Harbaugh was playing for the Indianapolis Colts. His uncle, John, is the coach of the Baltimore Ravens. His grandfather, Jack, was a longtime coach. His brother, Jay, is a running-backs coach for Michigan.

It's a bad enough night so get your facts straight. smh

When all your wideouts are first year players, your passing game is going to suck. I don't know what roster stuff led to this situation, but it's killing the offense this year. The flipside of it is that next year the passing game will likely be much improved regardless of who the QB is due to all the experience the wideouts are getting. It doesn't make the bad feelings go away though.

I've yet to be impressed with Drevno.  We have had a weak OL for three years now, and have very questionable offensive play calling.  JBB wasn't great but I felt like he played better than Ulizio.  Now i'm questioning out coaches ability to evaluate OL.  O'korn wasn't great, but the rest of the team wasn't doing him any favors.  Too many WRs running their routes then stopping and standing around.  Only good route runners are Perry and the TEs.  So frustrated with us going away from running the ball when it started working and putting ourselves in a hole by throwing in a monsoon or taking low percentage deep shots.

It turns out that the Tarik Black injury was pretty crippling.  He was our lone alpha dog on offense.  If he plays tonight, we win by 2 scores.  That's not an excuse, but just a comment on our lack of other play-makers.

Also, it's time to make one running back the bell-cow.  This rotating guys leaves us with no offensive rhythm.  We don't develop a rushing attack during the game.

When MSU's offense came to the line in the first half, I had no idea what their call would be...really unpredictable playcalling and Lewerke kept getting loose. Meanwhile, we don't break out anything, new or old, on offense to counter State's rush. Running wide was obviously a bad idea, but we kept doing it, usually losing 2-4 yards. Playcalling was pure, unadulterated ass.  Pep hasn't shown me anything. With an entire quarter ahead of us, I could see no way we'd put up another TD.

Our line is awful (news flash) at pass blocking and opening holes.

WRs are unreliable.

And last, how bad must Peters be to not be better than whatever this was? Impossible to find any silver linings.

Harbaugh sounded shell-shocked after the game.

Maybe it's our youth showing, but I feel bad for Hurst and McCray coming back only to get saddled with a team with no offense.

Then when they do actually block, we fumble.  Then when they block and we don't fumble we toss interceptions.  Then, when it's still possible to win and we block and don't fumble and don't toss interceptions, we drop a ball square in the hands with 20 seconds to go in the red zone.

O'Korn played fine. He was forced to press in a hurricaine because we were behind and nothing on offense was working so he threw 3 picks in conditions that were not condusive to aggressive playmaking.  Not surprising.  Our oline can't block and our WRs can't get open.  That's why we struggle.  O'Korn is pretty accurate for the most part.

Are you fucking kidding me? He played fine? You now have zero credibility. He threw into coverage. Threw to the other team. Held on to so many for way too long. Took sacks when the ball should have been thrown away. What in the fuck were you watching because it sure wasn't that game.

why it is that EVERY time our opponent fumbles it bounces right fucking back to them where they can get it on one fucking bounce?  Meanwhile any lost ball on our end rolls straight to the opponent's fucking defense?  For fuck sake when are we going to get a fucking fumble break?

We should run the veer. The O has been straight garbage minus 4-5 rudock games and 2-3 games with speight post denard. Hell, GT puts up like 28 a game and if we could do that we'd probably be in the CFP.

- okron clearly is uncomfortable in the pocket. He does one read and bails. Got happy feet way too often even when there was no presssure. - our WRs are mediocre at best. Can barely get separation and can't play the ball. Is there anyone you would trust down the field? - I'm not sure how we can play McDoom any more. I'm not sure he has proven yet that he is more than a jet sweep/ WR screen guy. This is more than that huge drop at the end. - we substitute way too much. I get staying fresh but I'm not sure I saw the same WRs playing on two consecutive plays. It's ridiculous that after a great completion to Perry he goes immediately to the sideline. Same with RBs. higdon was having success in one series and then he would disappear for the next two series. Just doesn't make sense. - play calling is mediocre and disjointed. Two fades on goal to go, including one to McDoom? Passing like crazy during a monsoon? No play action when MSU LBs were crashing like crazy? This offense is fucking badly broken.

The play calling was horrible, but O'korn freaked out to fast and tried to scramble if you can even call that scrambling. Drevno needs to go. God even Jim needs to figure out what he is doing with the QB situation, he's in his 3rd year no excuses anymore!

Not even going to get mad anymore. We should all expect this by now. It's been this way for 11 years. Ever since Carrs last season. We're either are terrible, or a average team until we get exposed and lose 2-3 games a year.

Wake me up when its over!!!

-Bring on Peters.  If we are going to lose I'll take young guys.

-Now we know why McDrop was only used for jet sweeps last year.

-DId we notice JBB at right tackle in the 2nd half?

-Monday is going to suck seeing the loud mouthed Sparties at work.

Started slow again like every game. Then D locks down in 2nd half, but O couldnt do anything, partly due to weather. Weather be damned that was an unacceptable loss. How many fans were thinking air it out, storm coming? How can they not be prepared for that? Then throw it in a monsoon after we are making progress on ground? Peters not being better than what we are seeing out there so far this yr is an indictment on this offensive staff. Someone else said it perfectly... our O does not deserve our D. 3rd unacceptable loss under Harbaugh that can be blamed on offensive performance and playcalling. That is now a disturbing trend that can be expected as a tradition going forward until changed.

Were they "making progress on the ground"? |
Haven't watched again, but my sense of it was the first couple of drives they did alright on the ground, and then (especially after Isaac's fumble), not so well. Between down and distance and the way MSU was playing them, Michigan had to throw enough to give them a chance to run. When the rain came, they mostly tried to throw to the TEs and receivers over the middle,

I'd like to limit my comments on the current state of Michigan's offense to positive thoughts. Unfortunately, this is a very short post. That... today... that wasn't good.
