10/20/2018 - 11:05pm I've watched that pass from…

I've watched that pass from Patterson to DPJ at least 10 times now. What a thing of beauty.  I love that we have a QB that can hit the WR in stride on a dime, and WR that can take it to the house.

Go Blue!

10/20/2018 - 4:45pm That seems to be the case -…

That seems to be the case - Stewart was holding onto Thomas's jersey on that one.

10/20/2018 - 4:32pm Michigan has had the ball…

Michigan has had the ball for over 33 min vs 17 for MSU.  Sparty's D has got to be gassed at this point.

10/20/2018 - 4:29pm I feel like Lewerke wants to…

I feel like Lewerke wants to throw a pick, maybe even a pick-6. There is still enough time for that to happen.

10/20/2018 - 3:51pm Worst punt of the year by…

Worst punt of the year by Hart at the most inopportune time. Only 38 yards on that boot. ugh.

10/20/2018 - 2:54pm Michigan is going to get MSU…

Michigan is going to get MSU's best shot in the second half. Michigan needs to come out inspired and close this game out.

10/20/2018 - 12:29pm Michigan is getting some…

Michigan is getting some nice yardage on first down. All of these screens and draws could be setting up a nice play-action downfield.

10/20/2018 - 12:24pm So that was a completely…

So that was a completely clean hit, and nice stop by Michigan.

DPJ needs to stop dancing and just start running upfield. Take what they give you and let your momentum break some tackles along the way.

10/20/2018 - 12:18pm It kind of looked like he…

It kind of looked like he landed awkwardly on his left wrist. I really hope it's just the wind getting knocked out of him.

10/20/2018 - 12:14pm DE was crashing down - Shea…

DE was crashing down - Shea needed to pull that one and run.

Anyone else having a problem logging in with the link? Wouldn't let me join, and now it tells me the username and email are already both registered/taken.

10/13/2018 - 10:59pm Our freaking backup QB ran…

Our freaking backup QB ran for a 44-yard touchdown, and our 3rd string almost did the same. 'nuff said.

I hope it isn't too serious - we are going to need him the next three weeks.

Great way to open the conference slate. Go Blue!

09/15/2018 - 7:28pm It was nice to see Patterson…

It was nice to see Patterson throw accurate passes: 1) on the run; 2) on a fade; 3) and on a deep, wide-open throw.  It felt really really good to see all three of those things happen in one game.

09/15/2018 - 7:24pm He only scored on 3 of his 4…

He only scored on 3 of his 4 catches. I mean, is he even trying?

Shea to DPJ looks like it's going to be good connection...

I'll just leave this here:

09/03/2018 - 9:43am Nowhere did I say that…

Nowhere did I say that Michigan was going to do it - I said I really hope they can do it this year.  Because that's what it's going to take at this point to take the pressure off Harbaugh.

But go ahead with the name-calling instead of comprehending what I actually wrote.

09/02/2018 - 3:15pm I remember the local media…

I remember the local media and fans calling for a change after two consecutive 4-loss seasons by Carr in his first two seasons (which followed two consecutive 4-loss seasons by Moeller).  The thinking was that Carr was in over his head at Michigan in his first head coaching gig after being an assistant for all of his career, and that Michigan was becoming used to losing four games a season.  That four year stretch was the first time since 1965-68 that Michigan didn't win or share a Big Ten crown in four consecutive years.

He did beat OSU in both of those seasons, and that offset some really bad losses in both those years (to 6-5-1 MSU in '95 and to 3-8 Purdue in '96), and teams that faded late in the season (losing 3 out of 5 at the end of '05 and 3 out of 4 at the of of '96). Even with victories against OSU, there were still rumblings that Michigan needed a proven head coach, not a first-timer.

Then 1997 happened (man what a sweet, sweet year that was), and the narrative obviously changed.  Winning fixes most perception issues, and when Harbaugh wins those big games (hopefully against MSU, OSU and PSU, heck why not Wisconsin, too) all of the controversy will fade into the background...I really hope they figure out how to do it this year.

09/01/2018 - 10:56pm Honestly, I don't think QB…

Honestly, I don't think QB play is the issue so far. Michigan showed two competent QBs today. The oline somehow looks worse than last year. Recruit some damn freaking tackles!

09/01/2018 - 10:52pm Kick away, keep pressure on…

Kick away, keep pressure on D to get a 3-and-out, then get a quick score...and go for 2. Sounds easy, right?

09/01/2018 - 10:26pm Harbaugh should be pissed -…

Harbaugh should be pissed - these spots are terrible.

09/01/2018 - 10:22pm McCaffery coming in. Please…

McCaffery coming in. Please let him not get killed behind this line.

09/01/2018 - 10:19pm Notre Dame is MSU-ing…

Notre Dame is MSU-ing Michigan right now. They are so confident Michigan can't score that they are running on 3rd and 13.

09/01/2018 - 10:16pm Patterson can't even take a…

Patterson can't even take a three step drop before having multiple linemen in his face.

07/02/2018 - 6:23pm I think that people who don…

I think that people who don't agree with a certain viewpoint and don't have the same platform that can distribute a different viewpoint try so desperately hard to silence or "shout down," that information any way they can. Why someone would be so concerned what a random blog says, particularly if they don't agree with it is beyond me. Does it really bother you that much that someone has a different viewpoint than you? Does it bother you that Brian could be potentially reaching hundreds of thousands of impressionable minds with information that may change the way they think and could lead them to take action and potentially sway an election?

The reality is, this is someone else's blog. He can do what he wants and say what he wants, even if it breaks the rules he set forth. You can not like it and think it's hypocritical, but really, there is nothing you can do about it. Why spend the energy arguing over posts you don't like, when there is so much other content here, waiting to be read?

05/20/2018 - 3:44pm Hutch signed a 5-year contract extension

in 2017. She's won Michigan's only National Championship in softball and was in the title game as recently as 2015.  She coached the Big Ten's only National Championship and has the conference's most recent appearance as well.

She's a legend, and more importantly, she's a legend that is *still* winning Big Ten titles and recruiting nationally prominent players despite inherent disadvantages that cold weather climate teams have to deal with.  She's also won 19 Big Ten regular season titles and 9 tournament titles and is a 17-time Big Ten coach of the year, including this year.

She's a consistent winner in the conference and has Michigan on the national scene year-in and year-out.  She's not going anywhere, until she wants to.

05/17/2018 - 7:28pm Five Thirty Eight blog

Looked at this exact thing last year:

https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/which-college-football-teams-are-a…

ND is #1 on this list of most overrated teams, and Michigan checks in at #12.

This is comparing the preseason versus the postseason AP poll.

04/06/2018 - 12:23am Fack.

I can't believe the last time Michigan won a Championship was in 1998.

At least we know that Pearson is a hell of a coach, and things look really good for next year.

Next year. Sigh.

04/02/2018 - 11:19pm It was a good run - had a ton of fun watching it this season

Hate to see it end like this, but still proud of them.

Going to miss the seniors next year, and maybe Mo, too, but the future is bright for Michigan.

Frozen Four up next - Go Blue!

04/02/2018 - 10:51pm The refs aren't helping us, but if they can't hit a single

3-pointer, it doesn't matter what Villanova does or doesn't do or what the refs call.

Michigan can't buy a basket right now.

04/02/2018 - 10:44pm Villanova excels at diving to get the foul calls

We need to get better at that, apparently.

04/02/2018 - 10:36pm These refs are terrible

all the fouls are one-way. That was a terrible foul call.

04/02/2018 - 9:54pm Michigan doesn't get that foul call

with the body, but Villanova does every time.

03/31/2018 - 7:38pm Charles Fucking Barkley

Someone needs to pay him to never pick Michigan ever again.

03/31/2018 - 7:30pm Right now the offense needs to be geared to getting

the ball either to Wagner or Matthews on cuts or screens.

They are the only two hitting shots right now.  If Michigan could get one person to start hitting threes, that would open up the lane to easier drives without multiple defenders clogging the lane.

Still in this one - need to start putting up some points!

03/31/2018 - 7:25pm Wagner came to play

he is better than everyone on Loyola - needs some help from someone else though.

Wide open looks aren't falling.

03/31/2018 - 7:10pm They've done it before

but 9-31 and 2-13 is a quick way to get sent home.

I think they can shoot the lights out in the second half in front of their bench. Get some energy and get some points!

Go Blue!

03/31/2018 - 7:04pm Michigan has missed a ton of wide open

shots from inside and out.

I mean, I guess you can credit that to Loyola's defense somehow for making Michigan miss wide-open looks.  I hope Michigan can turn this around playing in front of their own bench the second half. Hit half of the shots in the second half, and Michigan wins running away.

I really don't want Michigan's season to end as a stepping stone to the Sister Jean Championship story...

03/31/2018 - 6:53pm Didn't say we looked good

Just saying that Loyola is not that good.

Open looks aren't going, too many turnovers just from careless passes.

03/31/2018 - 6:47pm Loyola starting to get some confidence

Michigan needs to hit some shots - use the backboard or something.

Everyone is all over Loyola nuts and they aren't that good.

Wagner is the only one who came to play today.

03/31/2018 - 6:45pm This is pretty ugly

shooters can't shoot right now. They need to snap out of this funk

And start hitting some shots!

03/31/2018 - 9:15am Let's Go Blue!

The next few hours will feel like an eternity, but I'm ready for gametime!

Go Blue!!

03/28/2018 - 3:19pm Cool story, bro.

I get what they are trying to say, I just think the way they chose to make the point is a great example of casual racism. The whole basis of why that video even exists is pretty damning in itself, and that has nothing to do with being PC or however you want to explain it away. Not being racist isn't being PC, it's being a decent human being. When I see that video, that's what it reminds me of, because that's why it exists.

I guess it's awesome that it makes some secondary point that the some people are gullible and will read or print anything (har har), but marginalizing an actual issue to make a pithy point is an excellent example of what I'm talking about.

And to the guy that says to observe the difference between something directed towards Asians and something completely unrelated - that's the whole gist of covert or casual racism. As if it's okay because you aren't making fun of Asians directly - you are using them to make fun of something else.

Too deep for a message board - I get it. I usually never delve into social issues here, and will go back to not doing so, but man, does it make me view a large marjority here with a different lens.

All good, off the soapbox, back to the usual.

Go Blue!

03/28/2018 - 7:40am The responses in this thread

Are the perfect examples of casual/covert racism.

03/28/2018 - 12:07am I guess casual racism

Toward Asians is still acceptable these days.

Downvotes for you all.

And Magnus - you just lost a reader a past donater to your blog.

03/25/2018 - 6:04pm Michigan looks tired this period

They don't have the same fire as they did at the start of the second period.  BU looks faster and has more energy right now.

That turnover was terrible. Hung Lavigne out to dry.

03/24/2018 - 11:29pm Duncan Robinson finished with 7 points

I think once Hamiliton saw that he had more than six points, he knew the game was over!

Go Blue!

03/24/2018 - 10:51pm These refs are BS

honestly - FSU initiates contact and is wild, but somehow, Michigan is getting called for all the fouls.

These are really bad calls on any measure.

03/24/2018 - 10:45pm That was goal tending, first of all

and the FSU player barrelled out of control into Wagner. If that's not a charge, then nothing about that call makes any sense any more.
