Why isn't anyone talking about this yet?
Shane Morris 28/37 so far 467 yards 5 td's and no interceptions so far versus THE Kansas!
Why did Harbaugh let him transfer!!?? He should be our starting QB until Peters is ready!! Sit Speight down! Better yet boo him!

Our team will be fine this year. Go Blue

I will say this - if you had not brought this up, even sarcastically, I bet someone would have eventually brought it up...
....in one of our numerous self-assessment type threads in December....
....except they wouldn't have added the /s....
SO...well done there.

I wouldn't kick him off the roster right now, that's for sure.
September 10th, 2017 at 12:27 PM ^
He isn't on the roster right now, so you couldn't kick him off it even if you wanted to.

Happy that Shane is doing well at CMU. Shane would have been 5 deep this year behind, Speight, Okorn, Peters and maybe McCaffery. I will never understand why people think Speight playing is a conspiracy and that someone is better behind him. There is not a coach in his right mind that would play the lesser talent. ESPECIALLY at Michigan where it really is a meritocracy. Shane has a rocket arm but that is where it ends.

but that isn't my point.
The solid play of Shane merely gave me a fortuitous opportunity to make a joke about a certain segment of our fan base
September 10th, 2017 at 12:29 PM ^
Actually, it didn't. The fact that you thought that this was such an opportunity is sad.

Still slurping "SUGAR" Shane?
Root for him, be happy for him. He doesn't play for Michigan...let's support him, but we don't need a thread just because he played well versus Kansas.

Kansas was a 5 plus point favorite. and as was the case last year, CMU beat another Big 12 opponent in their house in Oklahoma State. CMU was up 24-6 at the half, and cruised to an easy victory. The Chippewa's looked better than MIcihgan did today against Cincinnati and performed statistically better as well against a similar oppnent. So yah Dude, it was Kansas and a great effort by Shane.

Well, he was a 4-star recruit and a 0.9674 composite on 247, regardless of his play at michigan.
A team playing with a left handed QB has to commit to the left-hander, because of variables and ball spin and things and stuff. He's always been a good QB, just probably not a good thing to have your recievers possibly have to adjust back and forth between a left and right handed QB
Good for Shane. Good pickup for CMU.

Crazy.. Some guys just do better when they're "the man." It's a confidence thing. Has happened to multiple of our transfers. Rawls comes to mind. Wasn't a competition level thing for him because he's done well in the NFL too. Just had to get a jumpstart.

Glad to see Shane have success --- there's no shame in being a very good QB at "only" a MAC school. That's still very damn good.

He gave everything to Michigan. Harbaugh wouldn't play him.
Now Central has a better starting QB than we do.
That is more inexplicable to me than 10 years of futility on the offensive line.
September 10th, 2017 at 2:28 AM ^
However, based on the number of negative mgopoints, the trolls on this site can't handle the truth. Still, I don't believe Shane would have the success at Michgain because of a dearth of quality offensive lineman and receiver performances. Basically, they are subpar at this point, whereas CMU is far superior so it's no surpirse he had the day he did, and will likely have more success as the season progresses.

that's why they neg us. we're not saying GO OSU! we're pointing out what every smart, honest person sees.
Shane is better than Speight. Always was, always will be.
Michigan's offensive line. WTF?
But I do think our young receiving corps has way way more upside than CMU, easy.
Now watch this get negged by the same people blaming HOKE ffs. Year 3 of Harbaugh and the snowflakes are blaming Hoke.
September 10th, 2017 at 12:35 PM ^
It's a conspiracy. Harbaugh wouldn't play him, and neither would Hoke, bar that one awful game. Clearly, someone got to both of them to keep Shane from taking the place he earned. I blame the Illuminati.

One, he has a quality offensive line blocking for him and at Micigan, he did not
Two, he has an excellent receiving core, one that Michigan doesn't compare to at all
CMU"s coach has way less talent the UM, yet lately when Central lands an Ann Arbor castoff, they improve substantially. Kudos to the Chippewa's and their win over KU, where they played in Kansas and were 5-1/2 point underdogs.
