Hurst also retweeted the no-name RB's tweet.

I remember the last time one of them ran their shark-licker about our team-

Good times.

As if we don't have enough incentive to come out of the gates strong? Now you're gonna challenge (effectively) the best defensive front in college football? I can't wait for September...

Tweet stamped July 18? This is a must win for Harbaugh in my eyes, both coaches going into year three with mostly their recruits. Have to win this one.

I'd actually say it's more must win for Florida than Michigan.  Michigan has very little to show from the 2014 and 2015 recruiting classes, so the team is extremely young and many consider this a building year for 2018.  Meanwhile Florida has some pretty good classes and it's lately that they have started to recruit poorly, so they need a great season to keep faith in McElwain.

Talk about a dude not getting talked about, how about Mone?! All the spotlight on Hurst and Gary + Don Brown's agressive LB blitz schemes, and somehow Mone is just a dude hanging around eating everyone's lunch.

Mone is going to crush it this season since OL's will be so focused on avoiding/double-teaming one or both of Gary/Hurst. I can't wait to see Mone go all Vince Wilfork this year.

I have nothing against WD, but his response is nonsense.  The question is whether anybody knows if Winovich's "M" mask is a thing and will be worn.

WD says masks are restricted to position groups, with I'm pretty sure is false.  Winovich wore a different mask than Gary who both wore a different mask than Matt Godin.  But Gary's matched Higdon's.  And Winovich's matched McCray's.  There are a few different helmet makers out there and their different models vary slightly.  Masks are all over the map.  A lot of Michigan guys went to a Riddell Revo Speed Flex model last year and wore similar masks.  Many had subtle differences.  None were blanketed by position group.

Even if they were, WD says he can't imagine a WR or RB wearing Winovich's mask.  Which makes no sense.  If he believes masks are restricted to position group, why would WRs or RBs wear the same mask as Winovich, a DE?

That's what I found wrong with his reply, and it had nothing to do with his handle.

Back on topic, I believe the NCAA cracked down on facemasks a few years ago because people were going bonkers with custom cage design to look cool, but it was throwing off the weight and structural integrity of the helmet in the process.

If Winovich is tweeting this, then I assume Michigan equipment guys put it on his helmet.  That leads me to believe it's probably an approved design and free to see the field.

That should shut his mouth.  Can't wait to see our D demolish their entire offense for 60 minutes (or the actual 15-20 they will actually possess the ball)!

this reminds me of when the fab five was warming up their before final 4 game vs cincinnati, and one of their scrubs yapped over at our lay-up line...our guys were all "wait, who are you?  you're not even on our scouting report!  hey, jalen, did we notice this guy on the film?"

(note, i am almost certainly screwing up this story five different ways...my apologies)

mark thompson had four dnp-coaches decision lines last season and 68 total carries.  his mouth is bigger than his accomplishments, which makes him a perfect SEC scrub.

That was pretty close. IIRC, Webber was practicing FT's and the UC scrub said something along the lines of "yeah, better practice those free throws." Which allowed Webber to remark something like "we just watched a bunch of film and your name never came up. Now go back to the bench and write me a ten page paper on why we should give a shit about you."
