Maize in Cincy

Yeah that was horrible.  Before last year a lot of people were talking about them needing to get rid of the contest, and this will probably rekindle those talks.  The 3 point contest is usually very exciting and even that was pretty bad this year.

I've always wanted to see somebody dunk it with one hand, catch it with the other and re-dunk it in one motion.  DOn't know if that would be cool or if it would look weird and lame.  Wonder if GRIII could pull it off.

on DVD...GR III was by far the best but I was hoping for more of a throw back to the days of MJ, Dominique and Webb. Not a fan of the props. Also the judging is horrible. How do you give someone a score that high without even completing a dunk???

There's a ton of nostalgia involved in how we view those contests. Most of the dunks guys did back in the day are run-of-the-mill in-game dunks now. I literally watched Giannas dunk from basically the free throw line on a fast break a few days ago. I'm not crazy about the props either, but I also understand that they can be necessary to do things that have never been done.

I feel like dunking over Paul George added a degree of difficulty for him that went unappreciated.  The other contestants were dunking over people a foot shorter (or more.. dj khaled lol).  Congrats GRIII!
