So stupid of them, why would this game give them any emotion at all? It just kind of strips you of any emotions.
January 7th, 2017 at 11:05 PM ^
Because if you did you;d know this was always a team with a mediocre roster. You'd know that they are without their top two backs and two of their best offensive linemen.
This is a team that really is not that good, but somehow got into the playoffs. They are being exposed for what they are--a thinly talented team.
The Lions have the outline of a good offensive line when healthy. Not Dallas good, but then no one else has a line as good as the Cowboys.
Vince Lombardi could not win with this roster.

Ofeensive line has played well tonight.

REALLY????? Did Zenner have any running lanes. What was his rushing total 38 yards. As a team they rushed for 49 yards on 15 carries. They couldn't get any first downs. This offense is pathetic. They can't block or catch. They are as bad as they have always been. Knowing them they draft a receiver. They need two tackles and a guard right now.

Y no delay of game?

The Lions suck but between the refs and Seattle luck, there is nothing for the Lions.

About Caldwell staying, still feel the same?
This team was lifeless, from the get go. Undisciplined, horrible game planning, you name it. Top to bottom, this is why Jim Caldwell is not a good head football coach.

But you have to be dead to not notice the lack of talent on this roster. This is a team with only one pass rusher, bad linebackers, mediocre Cbs outside of Slay, little speed and size at WR, and a need for a bigger RB.
What you expect out of such a roster I have no clue. You should rage against Martin Mayhewe for doing such a shitty job over a eight year period of drafting

That Seattle is some great shakes. This game was close until 10 minutes left. The Lions could have won this game.
But, the team was not-prepared, they were stupid and played with a lack of discipline that surpasses the mind.
January 8th, 2017 at 12:17 AM ^
Seriously: It's the same old Lions, but how weren't they prepared? Which matchup did they fail to exploit? Which series of plays were totally boneheaded? Or are you just saying this because they lost?
The defense hung in there for a while. The offense couldn't run the ball well, but then, what's new about that. Stafford missed a couple of throws. Receivers also dropped a half dozen or so, and long-time NFL veteran Anquan Boldin couldn't keep his cool. What do the coaches do about that?
I'm not exactly PFF here, but neither are you. What, exactly, did they prepare poorly for? Are you saying that there is a secret combination of gameplans that would allow this Lions team to beat this Seattle team in Seattle?

But the GM let them all leave as FA and never replaced the talent. The Ford's are cheap and I'll never understand why the fans fill Ford Field!
January 7th, 2017 at 11:17 PM ^
The Lions aren't cheap, just not very good at running an NFL team. They spend as much as anyone else.

The universal Lions GIF just happened, and based on this game, we will be seeing this one a lot.

You are not important enough you little shit. Yeah, I saw them body slam your ass and I'm not calling a personal foul on my team, the Seahawks.

I was at the last Lions playoff win against the Cowboys in 1992, the only NFL playoff game I've ever attended.
We had a bottle of champagne here that we never opened new year's eve, and I just popped it.
I've decided, like the '72 Dolphins, that I'm going to do this every year that the Lions lose in the playoffs (or don't make it), as I'm part of an ever more exclusive group: those alive that have physically attended a Lions postseason victory.

I'll never forget the quote from William Clay, "you don't have to win to make money". Too bad cities can't vote on ownership.
There should at least be an annual award for worst owner. WCF would have won his share. Though Jed York will be the winner for the next few years until his mom fires him.
