Sources: There have been preliminary discussions about moving the Michigan-Florida season opener at AT&T Stadium to Sunday, Sept. 3. Both schools still must sign off on the date change. The game is currently set for Saturday, Sept. 2.

Though I prefer it to not happen, I'd be fine with it. The next day is a holiday, at least.

Texas is considering a law akin to the North Carolina law that's led to boycotts and the moving of games and events out of the state.. If Texas does pass such a law,I wonder if there will be pressure to move the game out of Texas.

Yet another overreaction by Wolverine Devotee. Coming from a dude that sneaks in to a charity event to cry about a game moving a day is hilarious.

Oh noooooooo I may have to wait an extra day to watch a football game, say it ain't so!

I'm not saying I like it...

But before you all freak out...there is NO NFL. It's Sunday and we'd be the ONLY thing on and Monday is a day off for the country. There will be a Monday night college game as well. I believe it was FSU/Ole Miss this year.

Basically this puts us exclusively in prime time when the country when we all can still drink and have fun and relax on Labor Day.

...I'm ridiculously bored right now with this east coast winter storm on the way.

Why not, I've got plenty of beer and liqour...let's give this a shot.

  1. Alabama
  2. OSU
  3. Washington
  4. FSU
  5. PSU
  6. Oklahoma
  7. Wisconsin
  8. USC
  9. Michigan
  10. Georgia
  11. Oklahoma St.
  12. LSU
  13. Louisville
  14. Clemson
  15. Florida/Auburn

So you're talking about a #1 vs. a top 5 team...and then Michigan who will be around #10 and Florida who will be around #15.

I agree...I just personally like Washington. FSU will likely get the nod #EastCoastBias? Clemson will probably be a little higher too. That was what I would do, not what I think will actually happen.

I was going to add an edit to say this (but I copied before I hit 'save' in case there was a reply because this isn't my first rodeo)

Edit:

My GAWD...think about this.

We play #15 in the first game on a neutral field. We are @ #5 PSU and @ #7 Wisconsin. We get #2 OSU at home. We play 9-win PJ Fleck RTB at home. Oh, and toss in an in-state rival and an up-and-coming Maryland team for good measure.

People knocked our schedule this year until it turned out to be tougher than they thought...next year, I don't think that'll be the case.

be 4-2 going into the Michigan game, losing at Iowa and at Northwestern?  Doubtful, but who knows.  That game very well could be two 6-0 teams, or 5-1, played under the lights in late October?

Wisconsin could be highly ranked that late too, but trips to BYU and or Nebraska could be stumbling blocks.

Lovely how Penn State or Ohio State do not have Wisconsin next year.

I'll say...

We're 6-0 going to Happy Valley. PSU is 5-1.

We're 10-1 going to Camp Randall. Wisconsin is 11-0 (there schedule lines up BEAUTIFULLY for them - no OSU, no PSU).

I know one thing...we'll be 0-0 going to Dallas to play Florida. 100% positive.

Isn't this part of what the Sports Broadcasting Act prevents? Or is it the NFL that is prevented from games co flicking with typical NCAA days? Gonna admit I'm don't have enough time to check.
