Sam Webb officially projects Najee Harris in UM's class

Without giving away paywalled info, Sam Webb's latest update has Najee Harris going blue. Says theres info he can't divulge right now.. stay tuned

And of course the title cuts off after "Sam Webb officially projects Najee Harris....." and then takes like 6 minutes for it to finally load. Aaaargh. Glad it was good news when I finally got to it. Fingers crossed. Still waiting to hear for sure.

But OL recruits are a crapshoot and Wilson is considered a raw prospect I'll gladly take the #1 player in the country instead. Michigan needs a few of the OL already in the fold to pan out a lot more than they need to add one more, not that I'm opposed to adding someone like Wilson.

Yes, Wilson plays at a bigger position of need. That does not make him more desirable than the number one player in the country. I love our stable of tailbacks as much as the next guy, but Najee will start from day one, be an All American, make one or two trips to New York as a Heisman finalist, and be drafted in the first round after three years. He isn't Derrick Green or Kevin Grady. He's a slam dunk.

It would be hard for him to start anytime soon behind Harris and Scarbrough unless they BOTH go pro at the same time. At Michigan, he would either start or get even play in a rotation with Evans.

Having a back like Najee makes teams respect the run almost regardless of the offensive line. We didn't have that kind of threat in the backfield this year. I'm thinking we will next year.

Exactly. Our run was barely a threat to pick up 5 yards, but definitely did not cause any fear of big plays against good defenses.
