Sharing a "Go Blue" on top of Table Mountain was a good one for me. Had a bunch of others across southern Africa too.

I was with a tour in China and we stayed at the same hotel as the Alumni Assn wa-a-ay back in the 80's. One day, our tour was at the Great Wall. Our group started getting our cameras out and trying to figure out how to get a group shot. A young woman offered to take pix with each of our cameras. When I reached for my camera, she noticed my alumnae watch and gave me a hearty "Go Blue". The other tour members were very impressed!

I was heading into a beach area on the Dead Sea in the West Bank, and as I was walking in the entrance, a guy in a Michigan shirt was walking out. Exchanged a Go Blue and such. Definitely the farthest-flung place I've ran into one of our own.

I saw James Voskuil's parents at a high school girls basketball game tonight. They were watching James' niece play.

and noticed a tall, curvy
cheerleader type with long blonde
hair and wearing nothing but
hot pink lipstick. He had a
huge dick, but his girlfriend had
a tatoo of a Wolverine next to
her beaver.
I said, " Go Blue !!! ", but they
ignored me.

the experience of meeting a Buckeye out of nowhere. The wife and I took a cruise in the Gulf of Mexico and it was February 3rd, the night of Super Bowl XLII. They were going to show it in one of the bars onboard so the wife and I went down there. I had on a gray Michigan tee; we weren't there but a few minutes before this guy comes up all excited to introduce himself. There was that split second when I thought he was going to introduce himself as a fellow Wolverine but he blurts out that he's a Buckeye like we're long lost soulmates or something. I wanted to say, "Dude, your doing it wrong" but I was polite and waited for him to move along but he never did. I made the best of it and listened to him go from diehard Buckeye to grudging admiration for the maize and blue as the night and the drinks wore on. Oddly, I didn't have any grudging admiration for the Buckeyes at anytime during the night. We ended up watching the Super Bowl together and buying one another drinks, it turned out to be okay.

It is funny sometimes how people react or fail to do so! If you are wearing the gear and hear someone yell out "GO BLUE!" It is party time! We are everywhere! I am a proud Wolverine fan! Not shy and tell Bucky fans that I hate them (and it is always in good fun). What's a rivalry for . . .

Me and a buddy did a Europe trip after graduating a few years back. We take a ridiculous train ride from Barcelona to Munich. Exhausted, we check into our hostel pretty early in the day, take a quick nap and then head out in the late afternoon.
Before going back out for the night, we head back to the hostel and it turns out we're splitting a room with two other Michigan students/alums. We all go out together, eventually heading to Hofbrauhaus.
As some point in our increasingly inhebriated state we order another round of liters of beer and when there's a lull in the music, start up The Victors as loud as we can. Everyone in the place loves it - even if they don't understand it or know what we're saying - and are banging their beers on the wooden tables.
It was one of those few "this actually happens in real life and not just in movies" kinda things. Too fun.
