OL recruiting getting interesting

You are correct . . . the visit was cancelled, and it seems extremely unlikely that he ends up here at UofM. My point, however, was that IF he (and anyone else on that short list) wanted to come to Michigan, they would almost undoubtedly be a "take," and Michigan would make room.

RR left a recruiting doughnut hole in the O-line. Which is why underclassment had to play on Hoke's O-lines in his last few years.

Time to hoard OL recruits until we get that 2nd problem resolved now

But circumstances could change. Our lines are going to look at lot different next spring and fall than they do now.

I'm honestly expecting a Herbert flip at this point and Slaton only gets back in the picture if he can get his test scores up. Its obviously doable but worrying about him before he takes an ov doesn't seem worth it so I thin we have room. The real question is from where on the current roster these extra 6-7 spots are coming from.

I'm all for getting a ton of OL recruits. When's the last time we had a great line? Even that one recruiting class we thought would save us has been off (Dawson, Kugler, Bosch, Fox, LLT, Samuelson...oi it's a little depressing to see how bad that class turned out). Get as many as you can

i agree OL may be the toughest though its hard to evalute all positions when projecting 16-18 year olds several years down the line. OL is also one of the more mentally challenging positions, plus they must all work in sync which makes it even more difficult. all reasons why OL coaches are so vital. as is finding guys with the right mix of athleticism and mental acuity to develop

Ruiz at C and Brederson and Big Mike at G will be rock solid (hopefully)
plus even our 247 3-star OL are 4-star on some sites - and I think both were lauded for their ability to play multiple positions, which Harbaugh likes

If we get Banks, it will speed up some of the time lines of other big men. That and it may cause some other guys to look around. Definitely will be nice to have a few maulers on the line again.

It seems that one of scout's folks who is one of their West Coast guys, Greg Biggins, thinks that Banks is more likely than not to end up with us.

As long as we get Wilson and Ruiz along with one or two of the others being mentioned I will be happy.

Isiah Wilson will be our Wildcat QB... the other 7 will be Tackles

I guess that bodes well for the other OL we are chasing
