WS Update

Submitted by umbig11 on

Chris Balas (Rivals) saw Wilton over at Schembechler Hall ealier today without a sling, walking normally and arms swinging. Very good news on that front!

Edit: Doug Karsch also commented on the radio today that he would not be surprised if Wilton played this week or next. Doug has a lot of contacts within the program. Something to keep an eye on.

starts and plays well against IU, without WS being dressed--but hopefully healthy and ready to go against OSU. Like it was mentioned before, feel like it would help to mess with the suckeyes defensive gameplan just a tad, maybe make them overprepare for one or the other.

if WS is not actually injured and is available to play both this weekend and next if JH actually has to disclose that he is healthy or not? I could easily see this being a tactic to screw with OSU if WS doesnt dress for IU but is actually healthy enough to play this weekend and in the toilet bowl.

But I would like to see O'Korn start in a game that is winnable so that we can see what he can do in non garbage time.

This is as good a game as any to do that, why risk further injury so soon after. Maybe another week will help the fusing fuse even more sufficiently.

Interesting to see what will happen on Saturday. I wouldn't be surprised to see WS suit up but never play...Make OSU think about him being ready the following week even if there is zero chance of it happening.

I think this may be turning into a perfect example of Harbaugh gamesmanship...

Keeping folks in the dark as far as the severity of the injury makes the other opponent prepare for two quarterbacks.

If I had to bet we don't see him this weekend against the Hoosiers and run a three quarterback system (including Peppers) in Columbus.

I have broken my collarbone twice and there is no sling required. You wear a harness under your shirt and can totally swing your arms. If he broke his collar bone as reported here, what you saw is as expected. If he sprained his AC joint, unless it was really mild, he would still be in a sling. This might be bad news.

Or the injury was way more minor than originally thought.

he seems to be doing very well. I think I would be very cautious with him. I really feel we can win this came with O'Korn and I would look to start him and let's get Wilton healthy and 100% ready for OSU.
