OSU vs. Nebraska Thread

Submitted by FauxMo on
I know there's a night game thread, but since OSU seems to be our last real chance of losing before the B1G championship (knock wood), I think they deserve their own. OSU 7-3. I think this one will be an OSU "Tressell Game," wearing Nebraska out on the ground...

Speight might honestly be the best QB in the Big Ten which is really sad for the conferences potential to produce a quality future NFL QB. No good passers anywhere. Note: Shredding lowly Maryland doesn't do much for me. Thorson from NW looks OK I guess. Kid from Wisky is raw, but maybe has some potential. I don't know, I don't see any future NFL quarterbacks in this conference.

Now we know why the entire Nebraska fan base is livid at the Riley hire. On top of not being able to recruit talent, the coaching of technique and scheme is awful and the play-calling is a joke. Riley singlehandedly cost Nebraska 4 games last year. He and his staff are lost.

Disagree on Riley. He has over achieved this year given the mediocre talent that Pelini left.Riley is recruiting well and their talent will get better. Tim Beck set them back light years on offense when he was there and now he is OSU's problem unfortunately. Give Riley more time.

I'm at work so I haven't been able to watch but just checked the score. Did someone wake OSU up and tell them it's now time to play football? Or is Nebraska a pile of shit? What's going on here?

Not buying us being scary yet. Nebraska just came out flat after last weeks heartbreaker. The OSU offense still has huge flaws all over the place. The biggest one being that they still can't run the ball well in the trenches. Weber is solid but the O-line doesn't get to the next level. Don't lose any sleep over tonight's anomaly performance. We aren't a good team yet.

Have to agree with this. OSU looks great, but a 55-3 score usually is more indicative of an unbalanced opponent. This score points more to Nebraska's deep flaws. That said, it's still impressive that OSU is destroying the #10 team in the nation. Got to give credit where it's due

And we are still going to demolish you in Columbus, just like last year when you were favored in that game. You  have only left Ann Arbor twice and played cupcakes. OK , we lost to a full strength PSU, but I think given the history over the past 20 yrs, i'd lose the false confidence if I were you and prepare for the inevitable.

Here we go : )

That said, congrats on the great season!
