Its 5 Hours Until Game Time, And You Are Going to....

Submitted by xtramelanin on

Mates,

Reminiscent of Christmas morning for many of us, up since 0-dark-hundred and waiting for kick off.  Can't wait to open our 'gift' at noon.

So the question is:  What's on tap for you this a.m. between now and noon?   Work?  Workout?  Kids' stuff?  Coffee in your cup?  Hustling to EL?

Have a great morning.  Let's hope we are just as sky-high in 8 hours as we have been all week.  Go Blue and have a great weekend.

Lazy morning with the little kids (boy 6, girl 3) after Wiard's Night Terrors last night with the teenage son.

Elder son has to go to ex's mom's house today, so the little kids and I are headed over to my college housemate's place in Canton to distract his kids (5&3) and mine while the dads watch the game. They are all finally old enough to play nicely amongst themselves with minimal active supervision.

Chili in the crockpot. Beer in the fridge. Both to be packed up shortly for the drive from Saline to Canton.

After the game, taking the little kids to the Greenfield Village Halloween walk.

Let's see...I'm going to workout while listening to BTN, have the grands over if they want to come so we can all have church and see the Sparty beatdown.

Coffee in the cup, some robust Columbian bean today. I've slowed my roll on the drinking, the weight just doesn't come off like it used to. Bask in the glory of what I know will be the opening of several cans of Whoop-Ass that will be unleashed and then check out some of the other action, in particular the OSU NU game which I think will be much closer than the pundits think, and the Wiscy/ other NU game which will probably end up as expected.

...on my way to my father's house. Going to take hime shopping and make him an early lunch. I will then skedaddle the hell out of there before my MSU brother arrives and watches the game with my dad. I still cannot believe my parent roots for staee.

Pickup some game lunch and a stop at the local farmer's market for apples and some other goodies. Then a little Gameday before kickoff. I'm sure Desmond will have some choice words.

into a truck for Lutheran World Relief. Not personally very religious, but maybe the big guy will look down, see me in maize and blue, and help us top 78. #beatstaee

In Chelsea MA wearing all UM gear for the first time in a while. Saw at least 3 people in UM gear this AM all with "that look" on their face. Dropping 1 year old off and going to one of the UM alumni bars in town while making sure son knows HTTV.

Been up since 5 with the boy (11 months old). Excited that the world will tilt back on its axis today, as this rivalry returns to normal. Go Blue! Beat that shitty agricultural college.

they finally found in Iowa the vehicle my wife wanted. She's still asleep so doesn't know yet. For me, some Holiday gas station dark roast followed by pouring a lot of quarters into the vacuum.

Up at 5:30 because I can't sleep.  Went to gym.  Cleaned the house.  Counting down the minutes til the wife and children go to a birthday party.  Kids spending the night at grandmas.  Won't see them til tomorrow morning.

SO I will head downstairs to the Man Cave from 10:30 until Michigan is done toying with Sparta.  Then I will start to drink heavily and head to a Halloween party as an absolutely gay, happy man.  After the Halloween party I will gut my wife if I'm sober enough. (with my penis that is)

Kids stuff.  Which is why I hate noon games.  Most kids stuff is wrapped up by a 3:30 game.

Even WD will grow to hate noon games when / if he has kids.

Closed my cottage. Sitting in line now for a ferry home - will soon shut off phone & radio cause I won't start watching the game prolly till about 2.

FYI The closing went so smoothly compared to other years I can't help but think I screwed something up.

Turn off my phone right at noon. Say a prayer and turn it back on at 4pm. Will most likely clean the house and go running to kill time. It Michigan wins will watch the game after it ends.
