Mone Spotted in Large Leg Brace
=(
I just saw Mone getting into a car across from Schembechler Hall. He had a large brace from his mid thigh to mid calf - one that appears to stablize the knee while still permitting it to bend. He was limping noticeably. I'm no doctor, but it was obviously something. I feel terrible for him if his season is derailed twice in a row before even beginning.

Hinged knee braces are given to many patients of several different kinds of knee injuries. I would suggest people stop trying to play doctor on here.

I was thinking that there were a lot of Doctors on this blog and was impressed with the diagnosis without ever having examined him!!!

Said every Snowflake thread ever.
But we don't really know much on Mone, that is true.

But I completely hear where you are going.
I think people want to hope for the best for this young man who has worked to get back to playing and want to see him succeed.
I'm hoping that your scenario is in play here.

Woot! Great to hear

smiling happily with a current player, so I was hoping he already had positive news.

Thought that was him, I believe with Peppers.

Yep. Look at the Bama players. Their OL/DL legs look like tree trunks and they hardly ever have serious injury problems.

Some people in this thread have stated that lack of crutches really doesn't clarify anything. It could still be a very bad injury. Let's hope not. We just have to wait for the news to come out.

But we need to adapt and move on one way or another. Injuries are unfortunate, but they're very much a part of the game. Almost no team gets through the season unscathed in terms of injuries. OSU has already lost 3 guys that would've been major contributors on this year's team.

Might be time for Onwenu to show what he can do too.

ankle versus knee.
Need to image knee ligaments to see the extent of damage to assess a need for surgery.
Not as much of a role for MRI of ankle injuries. Just X ray for fracture vs no fracture. A sprain--even a really bad sprain, doesn't stand much benefit from surgery.

would be a huge NT. I think the biggest ever to play NT for Michigan at 350 - 385.

Oh yeah it was something. I don't think he will play this week but hopefully he comes back for Colorado. From seeing the roll-up on TV and his reaction to it, I would think his ankle will be sore and swollen this week.

while reading this, and they're reporting the Taco injury. "Taco Charlton took a really nasty blow." "Looking for anything positive..." Would so hate to see him miss playing time in his last year, with all the preseason hype.

Tracy Sprinkle is 1.

My point is that anyone who thinks they'll get through that season without any injuries, suspensions, or transfers is moronic. The ability of a football team to adapt to its current situation and move forward will be the ultimate measure of its success.

Cam Burrows I believe is the third
September 5th, 2016 at 8:25 AM ^
Gibson didn't hurt at all. WR is our deepest position. He was a redshirt last year never played a down. Burrows played special teams last year and was looking @ playing them again this year. Damon Webb the 5th DB last year. Sprinkle is a big loss for sure. Especially since he turned his life and attitude around to get out of Meyer's dog house which took the better part of a year.
When we face michigan i want you guys at full strenght so there is no excuses, like last year. I don't gloat over a young student athlete that lose their season after working hard since january. Not a good look guys. Last year ya'll blamed it on the d-coordinator being distracted after being named the HC @ maryland. I'm just here for friendly banter which doesn't seem like it is welcomed here. Isn't it boring hanging with like minded people all the time?

Apparently you aren't familiar with Harbaugh. Unless he's out for the year they won't say much.

Ah. Therefore we need reckless speculation.

Would love to see this kid get a chance. Hope it's something he can rebound from at some point. GO BLUE!

Here's hoping it's the type of injury that rest improves enough, as they don't really need him for about a month.
September 4th, 2016 at 9:58 PM ^
Fuck.
Just cursed with injuries.
He's so talented.
I hope he can fully recover for this/next year.

I am a doctor, but not a physician, so I can only offer the same uninformed speculation that has already flooded this thread.
As you were.
