Mone Spotted in Large Leg Brace

Submitted by GrowBlue on

=(

I just saw Mone getting into a car across from Schembechler Hall. He had a large brace from his mid thigh to mid calf - one that appears to stablize the knee while still permitting it to bend. He was limping noticeably. I'm no doctor, but it was obviously something. I feel terrible for him if his season is derailed twice in a row before even beginning.

A hinged brace of that size is exactly what I got from the doctor after finding out I tore my ACL. I never needed crutches. This might not be an indicator of a good situation.

Hope he gets better soon. Semi OT news because I can't make my own thread: Rudock ended up clearing waivers and making the Lions practice squad Reunited and it feels so gooood

when someone gets hurt over and over, they're prob carrying too much top weight and it's hard on the joints.

Well it doesn't sound like Taco's injury is as serious (from what we've seen so far anyway), and we do get Hurst back next week, so there's that.

But we need to adapt and move on one way or another. Injuries are unfortunate, but they're very much a part of the game. Almost no team gets through the season unscathed in terms of injuries. OSU has already lost 3 guys that would've been major contributors on this year's team.

ankle versus knee.

Need to image knee ligaments to see the extent of damage to assess a need for surgery.

Not as much of a role for MRI of ankle injuries. Just X ray for fracture vs no fracture.  A sprain--even a really bad sprain, doesn't stand much benefit from surgery.

Torrance Gibson and that other kid who would've contributed in their secondary. They weren't injuries, but they're gone for the season all the same.

My point is that anyone who thinks they'll get through that season without any injuries, suspensions, or transfers is moronic. The ability of a football team to adapt to its current situation and move forward will be the ultimate measure of its success.

Gibson didn't hurt at all. WR is our deepest position. He was a redshirt last year never played a down. Burrows played special teams last year and was looking @ playing them again this year. Damon Webb the 5th DB last year. Sprinkle is a big loss for sure. Especially since he turned his life and attitude around to get out of Meyer's dog house which took the better part of a year.

When we face michigan i want you guys at full strenght so there is no excuses, like last year. I don't gloat over a young student athlete that  lose their  season after working hard since january. Not a good look guys. Last year ya'll blamed it on the d-coordinator being distracted after being named the HC @ maryland. I'm just here for friendly banter which doesn't seem like it is welcomed here. Isn't it boring hanging with like minded people all the time?
