And as expected Harbaugh hit all the salient points. Rosenberg notwithstanding, I'm glad he chose SI for his comments instead of doing it via Twitter. I particularly enjoyed the bit about Freeze. It takes a special kind of asshole to complain about having to work when he's being paid $5 million per year.

That's not even Freeze's real sin. Basically, I don't care if Freeze doesn't want to work harder. That's OK - he's entitled to his leisure. The real tragedy is that NOBODY is being allowed to work harder. Sure, Harbaugh will outwork damn near everyone, but there are mid-level coaches and mid-talent players who just lost their best opportunity for improvement and advancement. They were willing to work hard to do better, but the NCAA basically just said, "no, you will only have the opportunities that your talent and wealth can afford." Fuck those asshats

He compiled all of the things he wanted to tweet, wrote a diss track instead, sent it to SI, only for Rosenburg to botch it? That's what I've gathered

I'm Batman

When Bane broke my back, Harbaugh wore the Cape and Cowl for a few months and watched over Gotham for me. All while simultaneously building me back into a hardened piece of wood with steel in my veins. He even brought in 4 or 5 other possible Batman's and made me earn my spot back. He said to me, "protecting Gotham is a meritocracy" then let me practice an additional 15 minutes while all 5 of my Robin's stood and watched.

Former UNLV men's basketball coach Jerry Tarkanian once cracked that the NCAA was so mad at Kentucky, it gave Cleveland State two more years of probation.

It would be even funnier if it weren't the frightening truth, of course. Using that paraphrase of Tarkanian's quote was actually a pretty good way to end this and summarize the point actually.

I really hope this does not stand and that the NCAA - for once in its very sorry existence - is forced to contemplate what it has actually done to thousands of kids. Just once, even it is to correct a major fuck-up.

Mouse Davis. Funny but true. will ole miss or Alabama ever be caught and punished? UNC? nope. Punish kids and small school coaches out of spite at Harbaugh

Anybody else have a giddy wish that UM and Ole Miss meet in the CFP and have us beat them down? That shit would be personal for Coach Harbaugh.

I wouldn't be surprised when bowl season comes around that the committee tries badly to get us matched against an SEC opponent if possible. Kind of like a couple years ago when the basketball selection committee made sure we would be playing Duke in our bracket on the heels of the Fab Five documentary airing.

Love what Harbaugh said in that article about the $5 million a year coach not wanting to work hard and the hypocrisy of the powers that be.  Screw the SEC and the NCAA.

I actually didn't find a problem with what Freeze said. If he wants to spend time with his family rather than invest in satellite camps, then that's his business. Nowhere in his contract does it say he has to hold satellite camps.

But at the same time, if someone like Harbaugh is willing to put in the extra time to outwork him, then no one should feel sorry for Freeze if Ole Miss isn't as good as Michigan.

the SEC and ACC just totally played into his hands.  Harbaugh is now the saviour of the little guy student-athlete getting exploited by every one else.  Good Guy Genius.

To think this all would have been avoided if the turds down south would have just looked at their own 50 mile rule and said lets get rid of that, hiked up their skirts, and did what they are paid millions to do. Instead we end up with this. While I am loving the backlash they are getting, this will become old news soon enough and the families this impacts will still be living with the consequences of these pompous, selfish assholes.
