So. Let me get this straight...

...Wisconsin goes to the finals last year, loses all their seniors and their coach this year, and then make the sweet 16 by beating the #2 seed. But I thought only teams with senior leaders can do well in the tournament.

Haha. Love it man, so true. Everyone is capable of doing it besides Michigan! Give Beilein another year, that'll be the year!

Wagner is here because of Beilein. Let's tone it down a notch. Yeah, the last two years haven't been very satisfying, but this raw anger against Beilein is over the top. There are three banners in Crisler that he's brought us, all in the last five seasons. At any rate, he isn't going anywhere, so let's hope the terrible injury luck goes away and we can build off this year.

Well, the year that we made a run to the Championship we DID have big man (McGary). The year we went to the E8, we would've won easily had we not been mashed on the boards and in the post. I think if we had McGary or a Happ caliber player we would've beaten UK. Our guard play & shooting has always been good. We're a big man away from a run almost every year.

That's what I meant -- if we had McGary for that game/tournament. Morgan was very resilient defensively in that tournament, but he couldn't shoulder the load against Kentucky's NBA frontcourt. I do worry about the injuries as well. It seems like they do a lot with heavy weights (squats, deadlifts, etc). I cringe when I see some of those Twitter pics and vines of guys squatting a ton of weight (for a bball player that age). I dunno, those guys know more than me I guess.

I don't disagree that having more talented bigs would help us. My point is simply that 2 of Beilein's recent teams made strong runs, the first with a very good big, and the second without.

We damn near beat that very strong, absolutely huge Kentucky team. Even their guards were oversized (Harrison twins). That was a terrific basketball game.

I just think it's the difference between a real contender and an average-to-good team. I believe that is what has sustained Izzo over the years -- his ability to recruit massive frontcourt players. He overpowers most of the B1G with size and skill in the post, and in the tournament he can matchup with almost anyone.

For taking an 11 to the sweet 16 in my bracket. Blew a huge lead with 30 seconds left...sounds like my luck. Sorry if I screwed the rest of you who picked them too

If Oregon loses to St. Joes, all the Pac12 teams will be eliminated.

Talk about bad conference perception.

Pac12 has sucked in the past few years. Didn't their conference winner not get into the dance a couple years ago? I think it was Washington?

Weak conference.

is this the best tourney ever?  Obviously not from a personal rooting interest as we were bounced early, but overall...

Half court buzzer beater for UNI, Wisconsin buzzer beater, Texas AM 14-2 run in final 45 seconds, MSU losing in perhaps the biggest upset in tourney history (this one we actually enjoyed on a fan level).  So far this tourney has delivered.  Just need a cinderella to get to the elite 8 / final 4 and this year has it all.

I've felt there has been quite a bit of time with no good games on.  Most of the excitement has happened in the night sessions.  The MSU loss wasn't even compelling, although obviously enjoyable for Michigan fans.  If Buddy keeps it up though and pulls a Kemba that will be fun to watch along with a potential Gonzaga run.
