NCAA Tournament - Evening Games Open Thread

Submitted by LSAClassOf2000 on

Because thread creation is problematic right now, here's a new one because why not?

Anyway, in progress -

Hawaii / Maryland - Hawaii is up 15-14 with 7:11 to go in the 1st half (TBS)

MTSU / Syracuse - Syracuse is up 50-41 with 11:03 to go in the 2nd half (TNT)

In a little bit -

TruTV will have Texas A&M and Northern Iowa at approximately 8:02 PM EST

TNT will have Wisconsin  and Xavier at about 8:40 PM EST

TBS will have Oregon and St. Joseph's at about 9:40 PM EST

--hell, call it the "500" play from the sandlot game--I'm fairly sure they would have run out the 34 seconds since they had a 10 point cushion.

Is this the part in the game where the refs call the next 3 fouls on St. Joe's and nothing on Oregon until the game is tied or Oregon's winning?

St. Joe's has played a good game, and made a few shots at the end. Oregon played great D on the shot clock violation, and they've been shooting the lights out.

UNI, on the other hand...all-time choke.

I get way too invested in the underdog. Especially happens when we're in the tourney even if we get knocked out early. But last year I don't think I even made a bracket or watched a game until the final 4.

And they really clamped down on defense to force the clock violation. However, that turnover at the end was awful.  He wasn't really being challenged, just dribbled it away.

Maybe choke is a harsh word, but to turn it over without even getting a shot off - not sure there's a better description.

Uh, before you shoot your mouth off, get your facts correct.

Big XII had 3 -- Kansas, Oklahoma, and someone else. Its the SEC that, like the Pac 12, has only one team. Because that team is TAMU, you probably confused it with the Big XII.
