Son of Brad, All America DB who played with Harbaugh. Damn, I'm old!

Being that he's Brad's son that 40 time is for real cause Brad was one fast dude.
4.5 40 time is impressive and at 6'2' and close to 200 lbs. this kid has a chance to contribute at some point.
Welcome Tyler and good luck!!!

Tyler is a legit 4.5 guy. He was a captain on the 2015 OLSM state championship football team, as well as a captain on the 2015 OLSM state championship track team. He runs the 400m, 4x400m and the 4x200m (three times All-State in the 400m).

being that he was a captain also shows his leadership skills.
Our PWO guys could be competitive at a MAC level probably, nice talent we're getting!

had speed to burn, but it just meant he got out of position faster. Actually had a decent senior year though, IIRC.

...for being the first to mention that Tyler Cochran is the son of Brad Cochran, one of the greatest DB's of the Schembechler Era. I had read the first 25-30 replies, didn't see if they were related to each other, and Googled his name to find out whether Brad was his dad When I returned to post it I saw that BlueSky already did. Thanks, BlueSky---you the Man!
A Michigan Legacy getting ready to strap on the Winged Helmet like his daddy did!

However, you may regret those upvotes as you've put me over 100 points. Expect one of those clunky, first posts with a bad title. Haha.

In Tyler's case, you're getting a kid who maintains a 4.0 GPA in an Honors/AP heavy courseload at OLSM. He also scored a 32 on the ACT. He was admitted to Michigan prior to accpeting the PWO offer.

with that kind or raw athleticism (speed) and decent size, with our coaching staff has plenty of opportunity to contribute "meaningful minutes" on this team. He could be a future star.

Son of Brad who was a teammate of Harbaugh and Jokisch whose son also committed as a preffered walkon. Dave Dever was another teammate and his son Bo and Tony Gant's son Allen were also teammates of JH.

a) "Preferred walk-on" means they're guaranteed a spot on the roster.
b) Scholarships will be given to the most deserving of those players. You could have 20 preferred walk-ons and 83 "scholarship" players, so you give scholarships to the two best/most deserving preferred walk-ons.

Another connection to Royal Oak Dondero. First Glenn Frey, now Brad Cochran.

I apologize if I missed this, but Is this kid any relation to Brad? With the Paul Jokisch PWO, I wondered if Harbaugh might be adding another descendent of a former teammate.
