The day Iowa State beats Michigan in an actual head-to-head recruiting battle is the day the world ends. I don't care if the kid grew up in Ames and is an 18th generation Cyclone. Iowa State football sucks.
The far more likely conclusion is that Michigan is trending well with other targets they have higher on their board

Michigan will recruit more players to play TE over his 4/5 year career, and they will be much higher rated than those that Iowa State recruits.

Having lived in Iowa for 4 years, my opinion is he would only go there if he had to. Either Michigan is taking somebody else, or he lost a bet. IOWA stand for "I Owe the World an Apology".

I had a bad feeling he wouldn't be coming for 2 reasons.
1) Coaches getting Eubanks to visit this late.
2) He listed his decision as down to Michigan, Iowa State, Nebraska. For some reason I think when you know where you're going you don't say that school first. I thought "He wants to keep it under wraps until Friday. Whether consciously or not one would not want to list the right answer first." Then I think I'm just over-thinking it like the Princess Bride battle of wits scene.

I thought Harbaugh was willing to take 2 more TEs in this class. Either we have filled up and he only wants one or he already thinks he has 2? I can't imagine Allen is picking Iowa St over Michigan or Nebraska without a bit of a nudge in that direction.
Hopefully that means we have locked down Eubanks and Asiasi.

Wiltfong and Lorenz obviously know something. I really like Allen's size and athleticism, but this must mean good news about those higher ranked TE guys. The drive toward a top 3 class continues!
