Why? Because the dude is probably sleeping in the family's guest room? What do you think is actually going on? Sleeping in the same bed together? If the parents are ok with it, what's wrong with it? Harbaugh is dominating the recruiting trail right now and is once again getting his name all over the media and recruits are loving it.

It IS weird.  Weird is anything that goes against the norm and that is definitely Harbaugh.

The real question is whether it works.  Whether the recruits respond to it and feel like they have a closer connection to our coaching staff than they would have otherwise.  So far it seems to be.

It's weird, but it's genuine. What I noticed in life is that people are drawn and like genuine people, even if they are weird or different. As long as it's not a fake act.

Couldn't agree more.  The hardest times I've ever had in my life were when I was trying to be what other people expected of me.  The most fulfilling times in my life (and, coincentally, the times when I had/have the most fulfilling personal relationships) have been since I committed to being myself regardless of whether some people like it or not.

Jim Harbaugh clearly learned that lesson long ago and it has served him well.

FWIW, I do think that some of his antics are weird, I just laugh about it and shake my head, thankful that we have a person who genuinely loves the university and its football program.

that was a theme throughout my adolescence.  Thank goodness I didn't have Twitter.

Also, I was a reader, not a talker, so I would use words correctly but mispronounce them.  Once again, thanks for no social media.

This isn't as bad as the Cleveland news anchor using the word "jigaboo" when she clearly didn't know what it meant, but unfortnately these incidents echo for a long time.

Of course the truth is that the situation that makes this "creepy" is almost always obscured by darkness, so even this goofy weak correlation means that Harbaugh is actively helping stop child abuse!

One of these recruits should have Chris Hanson show up at the door.

Clearly Harbaugh is in full troll mode. He has very strategically gotten the attention of every fan base, every recruit in the country. As someone who makes his living in the Marketing/ advertising world.. Let me say The man is a genius. So glad he is our coach. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if he shows up in a Michigan onesie at his next sleep over. Viva La Harbaugh.

Here is a coach who actually gets to know a recruit and his family.  He hears their aspirations and their fears.  His time in the house conveys that he wants to be a member of the family.  He will watch out for your kid at Michigan like a father would.  He will mold him into a great student, player, and adult man.  He will develop his talent.  He will guide him in the process of becoming a Michigan man.  I wish he would come to visit my family.  I woluld sign on as a recruit that day.  I love this guy.  I love Michigan.  Go Blue.

Murphy will come to Michigan.
