Did they break up? A girl was the tip of the iceberg that forced me out of South Dakota to relocate. Just sayin that this might be worth looking into guys!

Would be shocked to see him flip to MSU, but anything can happen in an official. I'm sure Marcus danson will offer him the Malik McDowell plan, where class is optional.

Rivals recruiting coverage over the past year or two has really gone downhill. They're basically last to report on anything. Don't know what goes on behind the scenes, but it basically seems like they've don't have any direct contacts on the football or basketball staff anymore. I get the impression that it's all second-hand stuff.

I don't want to bash anyone at the site. They all seem like good dudes. But subscribers pay for scoops, not "this recruitment race seems pretty tight, I could see it going either way". Scout/247 seem to have all the scoops.

I will say, Michael Spath has really stepped it up when it comes to being forthright with what they hear is going on internally in the football program (i.e. Player X is in the doghouse and Player Y will probably transfer). He may not always be right, but he clearly heard the complaints of the subscribers and opened up more.

Detroit kids are intrigued with MSU this cycle.  They have Vance and Corley.  Rumor has it Hill may be a silent to MSU.  The nuttiness of the run up to signing day continues.

It took their grumpy coach what 8 or more years to get to a top position. Then they get blown out in a playoff. Won't happen again. Mike will be retired by the time they are upperclassmen.

have come up with a message that really hits home with the D-town guys. This will really need to be addressed going forward. Win and start beating Sparty every 4 out of 5 years and that problem goes away. The next 12 months will be critical with the "Pipeline 9" on the clock.

MSU has been winning games and have beaten Michigan 7 of the last 8 years. Pretty much finished in the top 5 in the last 3 years. Kids want to play for a winner. I think once Michigan starts winning more on the field, these recruitments will be a little easier.

We will start winning our share, even Sparty knows that.  But, D'antoni has been putting guys in the NFL and that gets kids' attention.  Sure, Lansing sucks and MSU doesn't offer the same academic standards.  But these recruits are looking beyond college...looking at Leveon Bell, Cousins and also the two first round DB's the past couple of years.  Plus they've got some others high on the board for this season.  Harbaugh will no doubt deliver the a high level of player development, but in the here and now, Sparty has some clout.

Despite the recent on-field success, I actually believe MSU has put out few quality NFL players relative to their team record. They have had a couple DBs drafted in the 1st round the last 2 years, but you would have expected more.

Quite honestly, I don't think they have had much more NFL success than Michigan during Dantonio's tenure. My theory behind this is that most of his players had maxed out in college by redshirting and playing 5 years while a lot of NFL players hit the league after 3 or 4 years of college. Some of his program success has been rooted in playing with teams loaded with 5-year players. I don't think there will be a significant shift here until he starts recruiting better. This may change in the next couple years with players like Jack Conklin and Malik McDowell, and 2016 will be the best recruiting class he has had to date.

Meh, it took the flukiest of plays for a senior-laden MSU team to beat us in Harbaugh's transition year.  Then, rather than seizing on the opportunity, MSU flat-out shit the bed on the biggest stage they have ever played upon.  Onwenu is a smart kid and he knows that Michigan is on the rise, and MSU has peaked.
