Here's to Indiana

Submitted by slimj091 on

The scariest winless in conference play team ever. Jesus H. Christ I am going to need to see a Cardiologist before the end of this season.

Indiana's record does not reflect the quality of their team at all.  They can play, and potentially beat, damn near anyone in the country.  Everyone who said this was going to be a cakewalk needs to go sit in the corner.

I'm not sure if I'll survive the next two games after this one & Minny.

They really don't deserve to be winless. I was impressed by so many aspects of their game that I won't list them all, but I'll say that I was just amazed by the physicality of both of their lines, as well as that bruiser of a running back that spent the day torturing us. I'm not positive that we were the more deserving team, but I'm sure glad we slipped through. And hats off to the Hoosiers. Better luck next year, I guess.

All time record vs. Indiana: 54-9  Last loss: 1987

We have their number in a crazy deep fashion.  I listened to the radio broadcast and our fans sounded twice as loud in their stadium.

Plus, they play crazy football.  How can you not love them?

Basketball is a different story of course: 53-98

I am confused as to why Indiana ever threw a pass in this game. I don't think I have ever seen a d line get owned like that.

Side note: the flip side is Michigan threw all over them. Very strange game.

Bottom line: I'll take the win

been saying for weeks that i think IU would be way, way tough.  really like that team.  really glad we got out of there with a win.

PSU will be a challenge b/c of the environment, but i doubt they are going to be as talented or game plan as well as IU did.  hats off to the hoosiers.

Told us so? I think the majority of us were concerned about this game given how close Indiana has played EVERYBODY. They were 9 yards shy of taking OSU to overtime with their backup QB.

This was the most stressed out I ever was to be facing an 0-5 conference team.

"Told you so?" Great straw man arguments. Always love the "I told you so!" comments from people on the Internet. I think many, many people knew this game would be pretty tricky. But if you need your props, here goes....

Definitely dangerous team, better than their record shows. They've played so many teams close, almost beat us and OSU (down to last few plays), played MSU and Iowa tough. Score doesn't matter. Happy to get the win!

Our defense is very average. Vs better than avg QB's we have given up a ton of yards and have lost 2 of 4 games and could've lost all 4. Against bad teams or below avg / inexperienced QB's the defense is great.

Ohio state will score at will, and penn state will score a bunch too. Hopefully this team learns how to stop the zone read, or learns to stop teams with a pulse on offense.

Teams that run the hurry up O are just below run option teams in terms of annoyance to defenses. At least Rudock is now becoming more than the QB that we hoped he would be at the start of the season. Hopefully he can carry that fire into the Penn State, and Ohio State games.

They lost to MSU on a fumbled snap.

The defense obviously has it's limitations. Hoke's Manball recruiting has left UM without much athleticism at LB and with no edge rusher to create chaos.  Bolden and Morgan are average players.

Michigan's biggest issue is their tendency to meltdown on the road. They did it again tonight. Only Rudock heroball saved them.

I know, basketball school and winless in conference play this year, but I was really surprised at how empty their stadium was. Oops, double post. Guess I was really really surprised.

Am I soft for kind of feeling bad for their players? I saw that one player with tears in his eyes. They've came so close so many times this year...

I still don't know how IU lost that thing.  Their coach went for everything, they ran for over 300 yds, they returned a punt for a TD, M had 13 penalties (possibly more, can't remember and too tired to look it up), yet Rudock was awesome.

Snakebit does not begin to describe it for them.  And yet M showed some serious grit to still win while doing so much out of character.

I really think the pace killed a thin D-line,  I have never seen a Michigan run D get owned like that.  The 31 pt 4th quarter comeback against Minny in 03 was against a team that cut block everything, And that was a statistical aberation that year.  Today was more like a slow motion trainwreck.

IDK.  rumor has it that PSU's O-line ain't great.  Indy's certainly was good. One can hope.

Championship offense and mac defense. Best offense we've played all year. Maybe if Glasgow played they wouldn't have looked quite so lethal, but that qb looks like he could be a a guy drafted in the late rounds, and howard looks like a first 3 rounds rb. And their Oline killed our D line.

That defense tho.

I knew this game was going to be a pain when they kept going for it on 4th down.

I was thinking that for years now but especially tonight. Why hasn't osu or msu been the team EVERYONE plays against like it's their final game ever, the Super Bowl, Homecoming and Nationally Televised all in one? It's a sign of respect but, shit, leave it all on the field for the national champs, ffs! lol

Testament of our image and staying power. We sucked monkey nuts for years but yet every team thinks beating us would be their crown jewel. Staee and OSU put scores against us on their championship rings, thats how important everyone knows we are.
