CEREAL VOTE

Nothing unexpected here.  Cinnamon Toast Crunch ran away with it.

Even if you combine all the Cap'n Crunch varieties together it gets nowhere close to the taste you can see.

JOKE RESPONSES
You guys are just the worst.  People that don't follow directions include people who voted for the poll choices instead of clicking "other" and people who clicked "other" but didn't bother to type anything in before submitting.

NOTABLE RESPONSES:

Hey!

I imagine, somewhere,  they are still typing this response as we speak.

Yes, someone decided to abbreviate "Cinnamon Toast Crunch" and they still managed to misspell it.

Exactly 1 other person feels my pain.

How do you know how much milk you need if you haven't poured in the cereal yet?

You know, when my son was about four or five, he woke up early one morning - unbeknownst to anyone for about 20 minutes - and when we finally heard some stirring, there he was in the dining room with my iPad and his left hand shoved firmly into a family sized box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. The echo of my mother inside me would have freaked out, but I sat down and said, "Can I have a bowl?"

He said "No". Smart kid.

I have oatmeal almost every day. With cinamon, brown sugar, and milk. And a bit of other stuff, which varies:  granola, almonds, dates, raisins, bananas, berries, sliced apple, sliced peaches, sliced strawberries. It is cheaper, healthier, and gluten free. What's not to like?

I personally love gluten. But for those who are gluten intolerant, oatmeal is great. My daughter happens to have celiac disease. This means that she actually has a body that attacks gluten, and it will ruin her organs. She somehow ingested some gluten last night, and was throwing up. Oatmeal happens to be a great menu choice for her. I wouldn't wish celiac disease on anyone.

but Cap'n Crunch is a fraud, his shoulder insignia is that of a commander, not a captain.

What else is the bastard lying about?

Oh, also, all Fruit Loops have the same taste regardless of color. (LINK)

My wife sent me to the store to buy "fun cereal."

I asked, "What the hell is 'fun cereal'?"

She replied, "Cocoa Krispies, or Fruit Loops ... it's like having dessert after the bowl of mini wheats."

How do I argue with that logic?  Answer: I don't.  I picked up a box of Cocoa Krispies.

If you like banana bread or muffins, or even if you don't, let me introduce you to your new vice.  Best cereal ever.  Post Great Grains banana nut crunch.

I love that stuff.  I'm not much of a cereal guy, but I've had bowls of that for lunch.

And now I'm thinking about a product from the 70's called "Snackin' Cake" --

That had a jingle that's now in my head:

"Bananas and walnuts, or raisins and spice,
apple and almond, and datenut is nice.
Real pecans and coconut, plus 3 kinds of chocolate!

Taste the good things that bake ... in a Betty Crocker Snackin' Cake."

Wow, Reeses Puffs cam outta no where. I was pulling hard for Lucky Charms to come in second. I think we all knew CTC was the favorite. This totally made my night, I was cracking up at some of these comments.

Cereal Rulez!!

Given all of the soggy worries I'm surprised there aren't more milk firsters. I usually pour cereal first due to habit but find milk first pours better.

1. Don't douse with milk for early onset soggibetes
2. Manage milk to cereal ratio as cereal is "dipped"
3. Avoids deflections off angled pieces when pouring

Note: gentle cereal pour must happen is milk goes first

Note2: Aldi versions of these cereals are not only tasty but usually half the cost

When I first read someone pours their milk first I was dumbfounded. The more I think about the advantage of controlling the level of sog my cereal gets to, I might have to try it. With all that being said I just found out my wife has never had Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I think we need counseling.

I am beginning to see the good side of this... We have this amazing box of goodness in the house all the time and she doesn't touch it... Her self control is unheard of. Her ability to select inferior cereals from the cupboard when she could have it is actually the exact way she ended up with me instead of someone way better. I am some Kashi, she could have been having CTC the whole time!!!

Hold on. If you have leftover milk, the proper technique is to refill the bowl with cereal one time. If there still remains additional milk, then drink it out of the bowl. However, never should there be a circumstance where the amount of cereal you put into the bowl is directed by the amount of milk you have previously poured into said bowl. Such an act is on par with treason.

What about the milk? I mean skim is great if you're watching your figure, but everything tastes better with whole milk. And if cow milk gives you the bubbleguts, gotta go with cashew milk.
