Until a few months ago, the only thing I respected Sparty for was not paying recruits.  I still don't think Dantonio does.  But I do think Izzo started paying.  After this year's NCAA Tournament, Izzo made a comment to the effect that we was going to "start doing what it takes to win in this era."

FF a few months and Izzo is signing two five-stars and two four-stars.  He beat UK for both of his five-stars and Ohio State, who also have a reputation for paying players, for both of his four-stars.

The bagman cometh to EL, at least for basketball.

omg. not this crap again. how many times do people have to tell you hollis leaves the room when the committee talks about MSU? the weakest bracket one year......lol....yeah i am sure that is exactly what HS recruits are looking at the year before they commit. were all 7 final fours because of the region hollis cheated them in? or just the last one?

Uh ... do you even have one shred of evidence to back up this speculation/assertion?

The man has a history of success and a good reputation, as well.

You, on the other hand, are an anonymous internet message board poster throwing around slanderous accusations ... unless, of course, you have something to back up your statements.

Highly coveted recruit from the midwest suddenly decides he wants to go to one of the Mississippi schools despite being offered by much much better programs. I am truly shocked.

Usually I hate the 'lol bagmen' response but the fact that Ole Miss and Mississippi State are suddenly national recruiters despite having done precisely nothing of relevance in their entire program histories is just screaming of under the table payments.

Even Naquan knows how the next three to four years will go between MSU and UM. He wants no part of losing that much. I like.

This seems to not be a play for UM, but anything that hurts a rival helps, especially given MSU's problems defensively and Jones being a top-flight tackle.

Of crying like bitches about the alleged, unfounded, unproven nefarious activities of OTHER programs, simply because they are better than Michigan.

I have heard that too. Wants to be closer to home. But MSU is favored to get OSU decommit George Hill which could be another factor. Adams decommitted from some other school - eastern carolina or something before he verbaled to MSU. Football recruiting is great.
