OT: Best hambuger in Michigan
My top 10...many of which I've had multiple times.
1. Stellas: Grand Rapids
2. Frita Batidas: A2 (technically not a buger, but a frita)
3. Hunter House: A2/B'Ham
4. Broadway Bar: Grand Rapids
5. Franks: Zeeland
6. Bubbas: Traverse City
7. Lauras Little Burger Joint: Decatur
8. Millers: Dearborn
9. B Spot: Royal Oak
10. Rays: Grand Haven
Hon Mention: Northside Bar in Manistee, Redamaks in New Buffalo, Choo Choo Grill in GR
Side Note: Best buger I've ever had was at Holstein's in Vegas...but its not in Michigan.
What am I missing?
For anyone who wants to make the best burger you've ever had at home, I suggest trying out a sous vide burger. Great guide on how to make it here and you don't need any special equipment to make it. Just a cooler, a zip lock bag, a thermometer and a really hot surface to sear it on(like a cast iron pan). You get a burger cooked all the way through exactly the temp you want it, a nice charred outside, and it's easy to make a lot the same temp without over cooking or constantly watching the grill.

De Tour?
I used to love it, but it doesn't seem as good anymore. Did they change suppliers?

Get it with grilled onions, Roquefort cheese, and a side order of fried cauliflower with their special sauce. Also has one of the only remaining working Ms. Pac Man tabletop games-or did, when I was there last summer.
downtown Detroit.

+1 for a Spikes reference.
Best burgers period, voted top 10 in the state on M-Live for burgers AND pizza. the Led Zippler is my personal favorite, 1/2 pounder with about a quarter inch of bacon on top, onions cooked into the patty bathed in a whiskey sauce.....yeah baby yeah!
Clyde's Drive In in the Soo. Good burger and head over a little bit and you've gone one of the best view of ships in the area.
Also West Side Deli on the other side in the Soo. Good view but not great for taking pictures of ships.
I for one cannot pass Talleys in Lewiston without getting a burger

Clyde's drive in Manistique, voted best in the U.P.
Martin's in Eastpointe. It's called the city burger. Marinated ground beef, 2 fried eggs, bacon, thick cut tomatoes and onions. So, So good.
Two nominations: (1) 3am burger from Vinsetta Garage; (2) Redcoat Tavern
In Benton Harbor, is a sleeper but great burger! Run by an Indiana alumnni (-), but GREAT burger
Red Coat Tavern on Woodward or Jolly Pumpkin on A2?
I'm an eastsider and I haven't been everywhere so of the places I've been...
1. Kavans - Warren (not kidding)
2. Redcoat
3. Bagger Daves
4. Shamrock - Utica
5. Five guys
Thinking of a few one-off places that I've been over the years....
Is Schlenker's in Jackson still around? I remember that burger being rather good for something that is more a deli / diner type deal. Not the Piedmontese by any means, but good for $4 and some change, especially when you get the fries and the fried cauliflower included. Perhaps the better one in Jackson might be found over at Klavon's.
Torch Bar & Grill in Flint is pretty similar to Miller's in Dearborn in terms of style, but both have good burgers. Crossroads too, if you're ever in or around Leslie - that's pretty underrated, I thought. The Red Coat Tavern in Royal Oak is can't miss, in my opinion too.
I'll think of more, I am sure. There are plenty of decent burgers in Michigan.
The Velveeta one is an absolute staple.
2) Blimpy
3) Telway
4) Bates
5) Sidetrack's

Talley's Log Cabin Bar. - Talley Burger
The Big One at Boomers in Tecumseh was the best I've eaten. Wish the place was still around.
1. Laura's Little Burger Joint - Decatur, Michigan.
2. Floyd's Drive Thru - St Ignace, Michigan
...how many of you (us) have had a burger today (or plan to) after reading this?
Check.
Though I honestly haven't had much experience with east side eateries, I'm convinced there isn't a better burger in Michigan than at Stella's in Grand Rapids.
GQ rated it the best burger in the US in 2012.
