I can't tell who is who between Rush and Heart.

I don't mind Rush... but Geddy Lee has a horrible voice, and Neil Peart is a massive overplayer.

My gf made me go to one of their concerts...and I really enjoyed it.

Sorry, douche thing to say, but it was there for the taking and I just had to.

KISS is just a stage show. They have to dress up & have fireworks to distract you from the music.
February 13th, 2015 at 5:13 PM ^
Isn't that blatantly obvious?

Love to see the Zappa fans! Frank was truly in a league of his own.

ridiculously overrated groups of all time, and Jerry Garcia is one of the most ridiculously overrated guitarists of all time. None of them could sing for shit, either.
The Rolling Stones most interesting music was done when Brian Jones was still with the group. After that, it was a slow slide into self-parody and leaden, plodding rhythms suitable to geezers way over the fucking hill.
Metal sucks ass.

Agreed, I love classic rock and 60's psychedelia. But they are a terrible band.

Cosign on the Stones. I'm a Brian era person all the way.

I was forced to listen to it and other Dead stuff endlessly during sophomore year in Markley. My roomie was a Deadhead from Virginia and he worshipped them. I just now went to Youtube and found the full American Beauty album and listened for a couple minutes to several cuts. Yep, they still can't sing for shit.
However, my roomie was also an Allman Brothers fanatic, so that made up for the Dead.

I'm a pretty big Deadhead - and I would agree they were massively overrated.
I think they're a great band - but they're (as Jerry Garcia said) "like black licorice, you either love it or hate it".
If you don't enjoy free form musical exploration, and stuff like Sun Ra isn't to your likeing... the Dead probably aren't for you.

I can't stand Rush, The Who, The Faces (or Rod Stewart) or Nirvana. I can appreciate how good Rush is musically, I just can't stand Getty Lee. And "Roll the Bones" is a truly awful song.

The best concert I ever went to was Papa Roach. They are hugely underrated. Someday we will look back and realize how great they were. I do think they have dropped off lately though.

Morris Day and the motherfucking Time is the greatest band in the world!

Seger is overrated and overplayed in Detroit.
Journey was a group of talented musicians (from Santana I believe) who chose to make crap music.
Bon Jovi sucks.
BECK is an absolute legend, neither Beyonce (or stupid Kanye) have anything on him.
Lil Boosie is the best rapper.

The single best song played at Woodstock was "Soul Sacrifice."

Run DMC is still awesome.
