If he had made a "football move," then it would have been a fumble when the ball hit the ground and a TD when he "recovered" in the end zone. But this was an incomplete pass and the play was over when the ball hit the ground.

that wasn't really a debatable call...that's just the megatron rule.

glad to see that go against the Cowboys, but regardless of how much I might like or hate a team , that was NO CATCH.

But he hadn't completed the catch per NFL rules.
He should've just secured it and accepted that he was going to land short of the goalline.

reaching for the goalline should count as a football move

Having possession and reaching for the goalline should count as a football move.
To the extent one agrees, this is actually worse than the Lions call because (1) the Cowboys were inside the one, and (2) the Cowboys never got the ball back.

Well you have to complete the catch before you make a football move.
Say he was clearly bobbling the ball...he could still reach out for the goalline while bobbling the ball. It's a football move, but he doesn't even have control of the ball.
In this instance, I think he tried to make the football move while completing the catch and he never actually completed the catch. Again, he should've just put the ball away and pull it into his chest and landed on it. Especially with it being 4th down. He wouldn't have gotten the TD, but it would've been 1st and Goal from the 1.
By reaching out, he didn't allow himself to complete the catch and he hit the ground before he could gain full control of the football.
Sucks. But the right call given the rules.
People keep comparing this to the Lions...but the NFL won't be apologizing and saying this was the wrong call on Monday. With Detroit, they flat got it wrong and then admitted it.

No way Green Bay wins in Seattle with a poorus run defense and a hobbled Rodgers.

Just on your prediction alone I'm going to put money on the Packers winning lol

I have a strong dislike for that star that goes all the way back to my PAL days lol, but that is the silliest rule in all of sports. catch.

It pulled in CJ81 memory, however, karma is a bi right Dallas? I gotta say, I enjoyed the call :)
Sorry Cowboys, we Leos know the feeling.

Being a Cowboy fan when half your state are either Giants or Eagles fans in the 70s is the definition of bandwagon.

But this is still 5th from the top and we're only on page 4...carry on.
Here's the game I really wanted to see anyway. I hate both the Packers and the Cowboys. Whichever team won I hope Seattle crushed them.
In this game I just want to see a classic QB battle.
Patroits/Seahawks please!
