Beyer TFL is vintage OL play from last year. Ugh. They had a few plays before that that actually looked pretty good.
How has Ryan been in the middle? Haven't seen much of him.

Not all that surprising, he was on crutches for a couple months.
and even inveterate homer Brandstatter is subtly criticizing Gardner's accuracy, or lack therof.
First time throwing outside in months after a busted ankle and 20 MPH winds are the kinds of things that will make a QB look rough around the edges.
Hayes has looked like the most impressive back today based on this extremely small sample size.
This run game is BRUTAL to watch
One thing I am liking is that these guys are hitting very hard.
This offense is putrid.
Defense looks like they're getting anything they want on the blitz through.
Still spring, I expect Nuss and co. will be looking at the film and finding ways to correct this.
It really sounds like the OL simply can't block anybody.

Canteen is gonig to be making some DBs look silly for a long time at Michigan.
Jake Ryan knifed into the backfield like a laser beam. I can see why they moved him. If he can make the reads, he'll be a nightmare to contend with for opposing teams.
A few plays before, he took on a lead blocker and shed pretty well. Kind of got caught up in the wash and RB cut backside, but it was still nice to see him take on a blocker near the LOS.
Expect a lot of 6-0 wins folks ;)

Gardner-led offense is pretty bad

It's spring. The defense is finally filled to the brim with upper classmen. The offense, outside of Gardner, does not.
Also, Poggi looks really slim for a guy that was listed to be a DT.
True, but come on. This offense is worse than bad. They can't do anything.
So it's the 2011 offense?
It sounds really awful, but I have to keep in mind they're learning a new offense, presumably with new terminology in addition to new plays/schemes, etc., whereas the DL is continuing under its existing coaches.
Hoke said at the beginning of the week that 80% of Nuss's offense would be implemented
but they still need serious reps at running it. Everyone freaking out today is probably a premature ejaculator too.
The guys that are penciled in as starters actually look ok. The 3rd stringers and back-ups are, predictably, getting owned.
Coaches put Henry on 3rd team defense - sending a message to the young fella.
no point in having them ruin their confidence like this.
