MSU vs. OSU / College Basketball Afternoon Thread
Currently 11-11 with 15:30 to go...
I'm rooting for OSU to LOSE (see what I did there?). If the Buckeyes lose then the majority of the teams I don't want to see end up on the opposite side of the bracket. Including both MSU and OSU. Iowa is the only team on our side and they'd have to win 2 games before seeing Michigan.

In the Final Four, they lost to Louisville by four points. WSU had a good team.
That was an awesome game. And I think I recall that they got a pretty questionable call against them down the stretch.
If this were the case, someone would do it every year. Hasn't been done in 23. They're pretty good.
entirely off of last year. They've beaten 0 great teams this year. I also don't think they've played against any teams that have a single player on a draft board for the NBA currently. You don't know what they are and based off of 0 great wins I'd say that them getting a 1-seed is weak.
wrist injury there?
He said, "it's my ankle" when his players came to help him up. I don't know if it's the same ankle he hurt previously.
It sounds loud as hell in there.
Minnesota 38 Penn State 24 at the half.
Classic example of seeing a boxscore and thinking wow this was a good game.
No not really.
Tied up. Wow. Still enough time for either team to choke.
Amedeo Della Valle would probably be a pretty decent player under Beilein's tutelage. But man I am glad we got Caris instead.
Really? I think he just kind of sucks.
He runs around the perimeter ineffectually and is one of those players who tries to look involved, but never really does anything useful.
As long as the opponent guards the three point line with any attentiveness, as long as you can throw a skip pass, OSU might as well have four guys out on the court.

Look at the recruiting profiles of all the other players on OSU. The talent is there, but the coaching doesn't seem to be. He was a very effective international player. I know that doesn't always translate, but I still think that Beilein could make him a decent player. I think he could be a well-to-do man's Matt Vogrich. Obviously his ceiling is nowhere near Levert's.
Williams has such bad hands
He's a total mess.
One of the big reasons I'm ready for the tournament is we don't have to watch 2 B10 teams play anymore and if we do it's on a neutral site
Held ball? Sure looked like he pushed him OB
It may just be me, but Aaron Craft is just not that good. I get the kudos he gets for hustle, but I just dont see much if any talent.
He's bizarro-Stauskas. Outstanding lateral quickness and pretty much no other skills.
Every year he has had someone who could score and a post game for the most part.
This year he is more than the 5th option to do something and has got exposed.
MSU has scored it seems 75% of their points by running the floor after a make or miss. Get them in a half court and they struggle. Unfortunetly for OSU their transition D has been worse than Michigan's.
This seems pretty typical. I'm not positive Michigan State even has a gameplan to play in the half court.
These teams take terrible care of the ball. Or maybe I've been spoiled by how smartly we handle it.
OSU's been the double bonus for ever and has shot so few FT's since
I feel dirty rooting so hard for OSU in this game.
OSU leaving 8 points on the board from missed FTs. Hopefully it won't matter...
You are triple teamed....pass the ball
AHHH make your free throws!
Lol OSU missing free throws left and right
Hope this is how they both play in the tourney.
This has been a terrible game down the stretch.
Good thing MSU can't buy a bucket out of an Izzo timeout.
wins. We would have to play a really bad game to lose to either of these teams.
and OSU won't be able to answer.
Payne is so gassed, because Izzo has done a terrible job handling his minutes. Again.
Choking the game away at the line. That's the worst. Just the worst.
for osu with 24.8 secs to go.
who again do we want to lose?
It's the most amazing thing in the history of sports! A guy almost got a rebound cleanly!
