MSU vs. OSU / College Basketball Afternoon Thread

I'm rooting for OSU to LOSE (see what I did there?). If the Buckeyes lose then the majority of the teams I don't want to see end up on the opposite side of the bracket. Including both MSU and OSU. Iowa is the only team on our side and they'd have to win 2 games before seeing Michigan.

Most teams? Come on. WSU was pretty impressive in the tourney last year - have Louisville a scare in the Final 4 - and have most of those key components back. Say what you will about the MVC but WSU is strong and I think a lock to get to the Elite 8.

entirely off of last year.  They've beaten 0 great teams this year.  I also don't think they've played against any teams that have a single player on a draft board for the NBA currently.  You don't know what they are and based off of 0 great wins I'd say that them getting a 1-seed is weak.

Really? I think he just kind of sucks.

He runs around the perimeter ineffectually and is one of those players who tries to look involved, but never really does anything useful.

As long as the opponent guards the three point line with any attentiveness, as long as you can throw a skip pass, OSU might as well have four guys out on the court.

Look at the recruiting profiles of all the other players on OSU.  The talent is there, but the coaching doesn't seem to be.  He was a very effective international player.  I know that doesn't always translate, but I still think that Beilein could make him a decent player.  I think he could be a well-to-do man's Matt Vogrich.  Obviously his ceiling is nowhere near Levert's.

The commercial situation in this game is fucking terrible. A coach has called a timeout just before the every-4-minute timeout this half meaning endless commercials.

MSU has scored it seems 75% of their points by running the floor after a make or miss. Get them in a half court and they struggle. Unfortunetly for OSU their transition D has been worse than Michigan's.
