A post so nice, I posted it twice.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:01 PM ^
That was a nice post. Thanks for the stats!

Michigan taking the lead back in the big ten... I like it
February 5th, 2019 at 9:57 PM ^
Not over yet but free throw shooting has appeared to stabilize.
February 5th, 2019 at 9:57 PM ^
JB drawing up a play to get poole the ball. put livers in too, please.
February 5th, 2019 at 9:58 PM ^
This has been a really good game. Entertaining, and hard fought.
Gotta give Rut some props, they put up a good fight.
February 5th, 2019 at 9:59 PM ^
Rut, lol
February 5th, 2019 at 10:18 PM ^
rutger.
February 5th, 2019 at 9:58 PM ^
Poole head bobs to draw fouls are hilarious, but also simultaneously effective and beautiful.
February 5th, 2019 at 9:59 PM ^
Why the hell did the Big Ten expand to 20 games ? Let’s just gimp your own conference for the big dance.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:00 PM ^
Nice win,Michigan!
Sparty showed it's not easy to win any road game in the B1G.
Really strong effort by the guys, and lots of things to like.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:00 PM ^
Zavier is 11-12 from the free-throw line over the past few games.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:03 PM ^
Yep, and just another ho hum 14, 7, and 7 night.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:03 PM ^
Wondered what if actually was ad I've only seen him miss that one a few minutes ago over the past couple games. Nice to see. Hopefully it keeps up.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:01 PM ^
Happy birthday Coach Beilein, and what a way to celebrate with the most Big Ten victories in Michigan basketball history!
February 5th, 2019 at 10:01 PM ^
That was just a comical travel right there.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:01 PM ^
B1G First place?
B1G FIRST PLACE!!!
THE LEADERS & THE BEST!
February 5th, 2019 at 10:01 PM ^
And for the record, that game was never in doubt. Go blue!
February 5th, 2019 at 10:02 PM ^
I like how they just erased the last .5 seconds to end the game
February 5th, 2019 at 10:04 PM ^
Good stuff, gotta appreciate the little things
February 5th, 2019 at 10:04 PM ^
Along with that no call walk, it was great.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:02 PM ^
Congratulations Coach Beilein - all-time winningest hoops coach at Michigan!
February 5th, 2019 at 10:02 PM ^
Good win. Maybe not a great one and some 'quad 1' win but don't mistake this Rutgers team for a 3-years-ago Rutgers. This is a good B1G road win in early February.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:04 PM ^
Yeah, they don't suck. They're solid defensively and have some bangers inside. Do not have any shooters though.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:05 PM ^
Unless Rutgers craters down the stretch, it should be a Quad 2 win. It's hard to win on the road. Ask MSU.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:02 PM ^
every road win is a good win. go blue!! first, all alone again.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:04 PM ^
Purdue is tied with us ... but not Sparty
February 5th, 2019 at 10:08 PM ^
Actually, Michigan's by itself at 10-2. But to answer your question -- if multiple teams end up tied with the same record at the end of the season, the tiebreakers are only used for tournament seeding. All of the tied teams would be declared co-champions.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:23 PM ^
Kind of like Michigan football’s B10 East Division Co-Championship this year?
February 5th, 2019 at 10:09 PM ^
We have a one game lead on them as of 10 minutes ago, and even if we were tied, we have the head to head. So we essentially have a two game lead on them.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:05 PM ^
Just ask Sparty how important road wins are.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:02 PM ^
We had Jersey Mike’s. It was crazy....
February 5th, 2019 at 10:03 PM ^
Late three kills our defensive efficiency in KenPom. BOOOOO
February 5th, 2019 at 10:46 PM ^
what's the big deal with kenpom? Does the committee rely on it, or is it because of the correlation between kenpom efficiency and tournament success?
February 5th, 2019 at 11:03 PM ^
It's one of the best predictive metrics out there. The committee does use it, but how much we don't know.
It was mostly a joke.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:04 PM ^
Man, that last deep three is going to cut into Michigan's KenPom performance. :-(
I wonder how Sparty did vs. the KenPom line...
Oh.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:05 PM ^
That was the best offensive performance so far by Michigan in 2019.
Loved the pace, the ball movement and excellent shooting too.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:17 PM ^
The B1G officials need to call these game more consistent. Michigan is getting targeted with shit inconsistently called games. I mean Iowa vs Rutgers - the officiating was like night and day. Who calls this shit - Delany?
February 5th, 2019 at 11:04 PM ^
Consistently bad is consistent, I suppose.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:29 PM ^
If only Jim Harbaugh can conduct himself half as well as Beilein in post-game.
February 5th, 2019 at 11:16 PM ^
Did you catch that end bit?
The interview is over, Coach B excuses himself, stands up, and begins to walk away when that jackass reporter says, “WOW.”
John, graciously asks what the “wow” was referencing. The reporter claims that he wasn’t able to ask his question. I’m thinking, WTF guy, the presser is over. Go home and transcribe it.
Well, that’s not Coach B’s style, so he stops, sits down, and answers the guy’s question thoroughly.
No real big deal but come on guy, it’s late, it’s a weekday, it’s on the road, it’s Coach B’s b-day and all-time M bball coaching W, nonetheless...let the man exit.
Just another example of Beilein’s great character.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:32 PM ^
Great W
February 5th, 2019 at 10:43 PM ^
All year people have been worried free throws would cost us a game. Tonight, FTs may have actually made the difference in our win.
February 5th, 2019 at 10:43 PM ^
In the cup shaped glass is hopalicious (ale asylum). In the non cup shaped glass is... $@%# I don't remember, some sort of kush. Y'all will undertand in a couple months with those dispensaries opening. #colorado. And healing the heart post-iowa (*) is sparty's 3 game losing streak and Michigan taking care of business. Go ahead and neg me for noticing msu.
Go Blue!
Cheers.
(*) only because I feel the loss, not because I think it diminishes the awesomeness of our current bball team. Irony is feeling that loss only because they've only lost two... any other year and it'd just be a normal big ten away game loss. And in those years and this one, folks needing to draw 10x more conclusions than necessary can relax and get bent (so we're back to the non glass shaped bowl)
February 5th, 2019 at 11:33 PM ^
Good win.
February 6th, 2019 at 12:31 AM ^
Sorry I missed this one but happy about the result. Conference road wins are like gold.
February 6th, 2019 at 1:12 AM ^
The best part about Michigan games on the BTN are the extended interviews with John Beilein and some of the key players in the game. I love those.
Today's was Coach Beilein and Iggy, talking about the importance of getting up early in a hostile road environment after the Iowa disaster.
