We lost to the 10th ranked team in the country.  We were 7.  Blown out. We are back at square 1. Embarrassing to alum and fans. We pay for this?

The really worrying thing is how every time Florida needed a big play, 3rd and long, 4th and short, Mullen and staff manipulated Don Brown into giving them what they wanted to make a big play.

Urban owned him, his protege owned him, it’s fucking Groundhogs Day.  Same shit, same result

When your line can’t get one iota or pressure on the QB, Brown’s defense is easily picked apart.

This is magnified when you send 5 or 6 guys and still can’t get to the QB at all - leaves guys wide open all over the field. Franks took advantage of a clean pocket often like Haskins did.

Missed Devin Bush today.  Too bad he was hurt in OSU game.  We started out the season with depth at D Line, and were thin today, after Gary sitting out, Solomon transferring, and Dwumfor and Paye getting hurt.   Appreciate Chase playing hurt and Hudson playing with passion throughout.  There was a bad MA on third down that went for an easy Florida TD pass.  Aubrey Solomon could have helped a lot today.  Would like to know why he transferred out early.

PA THETIC!!!  103 points in 2 games...this WAS NOT the #1 Defense in the Country..Not even CLOSE...yet ANOTHER Embarassing Bowl Loss...I think we all need to face the facts...Harbaugh is a good not Great coach and cant win the Big game..after 4 years HOW MUCH MORE EVIDENCE DO YOU NEED?   Its not going to get any better...Time to move on to the NFL and get a Modern day coach that doesnt run the ball up the middle when down 17 points

That QB draw for the TD was terrible defensive alignment with 5 defenders to take on 5 opine man and the QB. It was so obviously the play they were going to run pre-snap and a way too easy gimme TD.

Also, DBs this year have been shit with the ball in the air.

Uhhh not good Bob...

There’s no downplaying what Gary and Bush mean to this defense but we still had plenty of talent on that side of the ball that giving up 30+ should really never happen. So many players out of position and the lack of textbook tackling is shocking.

Don browns defense is a GIMMICK. It destroys weak teams and folds like a wet paper bag against above average teams. Its racks up amazing stats against bad teams but gets destroyed vs good ones

Its cringey when even after the OSU game the commentators were still referring to Michigan as having the #1 defense

We have the defensive talent to have one of the best defenses in the nation but Don Browns defensive scheme is too risky against elite opponents who can make passes and have a moderate run game

Just a friendly FYI, in case you were unaware: the term "jobbed" refers to the book of Job, and historically has been used the same way as getting "Jewed".  It refers to the belief that Jews will cheat you in business dealings.  It's not a term you probably want to use in polite society.  I realize you almost certainly didn't mean anything by it, thought you might appreciate knowing.

The way I've always seen the word used is in reference to being worked over by someone, mostly within the context of professional wrestling.  Getting "jobbed" was that you had to lose.  I'm not disagreeing with your interpretation, but I've never heard the Book of Job (which I've always heard pronounced as "JOb") referenced in connection with the term jobbed (pronounced "jaabed").

Hate to say this but DB has been exposed and it's time to move on.  On defense, I seen a lot of plays where they had 0 linebackers in the box, who does that?   When you get burnt by Felipe Franks, it's over.  He can't stop rub routes, qb draws, 50 50 balls, don't force turnovers. Dbs do not get many interceptions.  Don't want the old dude fired, but I think he should take his ball and head back to the east coast and we need to learn how to outscore teams.

It is what it is, all you heard all year was how close this team was but obviously that Ohio state game effected the players like it effected the fans. Too many injuries, too many folks quit, if you feel they had good reason that's cool but, they still quit.

I dont think you can come up with a more opposite example of what the fans perceive as the core of Michigan football

Safety play was not good.  Tackling was not good. D-line got some pressure, but not enough.  If you apply pressure and take risks, you have to tackle.  Devin Bush was great at cleaning up plays.  Ross got blocked out of several big plays...like the third and 20 TD run.  They didn’t really play any of the young LBs from what I saw.  They went with Glasgow when Gil went down.  Need to trust the young guys our find a way to bring them along faster.  Dax Hill can’t get here soon enough, but they’ve got to get the LBs sorted out, because things did not go well with Bush and Gil out of the game.  Florida won this game running the ball and that falls mainly on the front 7.

No Ambry Thomas sightings?  Was he hurt?

The defense did not their best player, most talented player, and then during the game lost their back-ups.  The heart of the team was injured as well.  The result was almost inevitable.  Yes they are excuses, but things add up.

Devin Gil and Josh Ross are not Devin Bush.

Khaleke is gonna be the heart and leader of the defense next year.

The defense is going to be worse next season. The offense is going to have to take a major step forward because the defense won't pose much of a threat against a quality offense.

Don Brown is not the problem.  Firing him would be a huge mistake.  The offense is a shit show and lays all the pressure on the defense to save every game.  It has been that way for the past 2 seasons.
