I guess nobody has Purdue-Auburn fever on this Friday. Auburn up early 7-0.

Not even halftime and this games a snoozer,  I guess I’ll post this here for discussion purposes...I read this AM that Michigan staff scheduled a 2019 3 star safety from Alabama for an official.   My initial reaction was an unsigned and Mike Locksley favorite Quinten Johnson is not a lock or informed the staff he’s looking around...thoughts?

I heard the same but never really saw it confirmed by anyone in the know maybe I missed it though.  There’s been a lot of DB recruits the past 2 cycles I include those marked for viper, I think Velazquez moves to will after the Solomon commit and seeing as there’s only one pure LB in the 2019 cycle.

auburn has only run 30 plays.  they are averaging something like 14 yd per play and just shy of 2 points per play.  that is incredible.

The rest of the B1G won’t take this lying down. Avenge Purdue!!! I’m sure that will happen. Sure as the sun rises in the (B1G) East and sets in the (B1G) West lol. Just kidding. F these guys. And Iowa probably gets jail sexed as well.

Just ran the numbers in my transitive property model. Give Purdue killed OSU and OSU killed us and Auburn killed Purdue already, Auburn would be beating us 1403 to 13 at the half in a hypothetical matchup. So, Purdue has that going for them, which is nice.

I've never seen a football player get two "technicals" and get tossed, but that might happen in this game. Chippiness when you're getting slapped around like this is so Dez Bryant.

There's still probably a fair amount of Michigan fans who'd rather have Brohm than Harbaugh, because Brohm's offense is so cool! Look!  Rondale Moore's gonna catch 15 passes!!  Wow! Never seen anything like it!

It's an awful end to a mediocre season that's only lifted by a crazy upset over OSU.

His regret level is going to be inversely proportional to his buyout when he gets fired. Brohm isn't 1/3 the coach that Frost is and he's going to have Nebraska humming very soon. Purdue fans will soon be wondering why they're paying Brohm 6 million a year to lose every time he faces Frost.

I just don't understand the Frost hype. 3 different coaches have taken UCF to a NY6 bowl game the past 6 years--O'Leary, Frost, and Heupel. He gets kudos for getting them out of the 0-12 2015 debacle, but that was a clear aberration. It's arguably a top 40 job and coaching there is like coaching Florida State in the ACC in the 90s--it's just not hard to be better than everyone else.

He COULD be the real deal, but UCF doesn't prove it to me and the jury is really out after this year at NU. And what does him being the real deal look like? 2 conference titles in 10 years and a playoff berth? Nebraska fans want the next Osborne. The problem is they aren't in an era where even Osborne would have had the success he had.

People keep talking about Nebraska like Frost is some amazing HC who has no flaws.  Nebraksa looked...fine this year, and while their offense is fun that defense hasn't been above functional in years now.  And unlike in the G5 where you can recruit yourself into a dominant position, there is little cjmace Frost will field teams with comparable talent to UM, OSU, or PSU consistently.

Frost and Brohm will maximize their teams' ceilings; I just don't think those ceilings are incredibly high.

I have to say...getting home from work on a Friday and turning on CFB is pleasant.  Not much of a game but it's better than nothing!

How many of Auburn's players would actually be able to enroll at Purdue?

Couldn’t agree more.  “Intelligence” has nothing to do with where talented players go to school.  Let’s not kid ourselves into thinking we are passing up 4 or 5 star athletes because they didn’t score high enough on their ACTs or that we are holding athletes to the same academic enrollment standards as regular students.  I mean the whole idea of purely athletic scholarships undermines the academic argument.

we aren’t Harvard, let’s not pretend like we are at some huge disadvantage because of our academic standards for the average Joe.
