Would you rather
I’m sorry. This is the longest week ever. Can’t stop thinking about this game.
With that being said, here’s a stupid would you rather question that will surely illicit some snarky responses but I want to ask anyway.
Would you rather be behind by 2 lining up a 40 yard fg on the last play or ahead by 5 on the last play with OSU 2 yards away from the winning score?

I would rather .....
have Harbaugh call a deep post to DPJ for a 72 yard TD with zero time on the clock. M wins 76-0
November 20th, 2018 at 7:33 PM ^
For the record I’d rather our third string fullback plows into Urban on the sideline up 35 in garbage time, but that wasn’t an option.
November 20th, 2018 at 7:43 PM ^
I think if we end up in either situation, your significant other should punch you in the spleen.
November 20th, 2018 at 8:07 PM ^
I will punch myself in the spleen. Unless it works out for us.
November 20th, 2018 at 9:35 PM ^
Fair enough
November 20th, 2018 at 7:43 PM ^
this thread needs to be Kobayashi Maru'd
November 20th, 2018 at 7:46 PM ^
I'll take the field goal try for the game. Hopefully, we avoid either circumstance as we claim our biggest victim on the revenge tour.
November 20th, 2018 at 7:54 PM ^
This is a good one. Give me the FG.
November 20th, 2018 at 7:55 PM ^
Kick the field goal, for sure. Especially after what we saw from Moody on Saturday, I have a lot more faith in our kicking game. And the outcome is more or less entirely in our hands.
I feel like with the other situation it’s really 50/50 at best. You have no idea what OSU is going to throw at you, and with a guy like Martell who would undoubtedly be inserted into the game, that makes that situation that much harder to defend.
That being said, if we come down to either situation I’m probably going to throw up.
November 20th, 2018 at 8:27 PM ^
Never tell me the odds!
November 20th, 2018 at 7:56 PM ^
I could take a good look at a butcher's ass by sticking my head up there, but id RATHER take his word for it
November 20th, 2018 at 8:00 PM ^
In Columbus, won't matter, flag out of nowhere for the fg and 5 yards short called TD. There's no right answer here. I think I won.
November 20th, 2018 at 8:00 PM ^
Would you rather lose a nut or a hand?
November 20th, 2018 at 8:02 PM ^
Depends on if it’s Nordin or Moody kicking. If it’s Nordin kicking and it’s 4th & OSU is on our 2, I’ll take our defense to win it. We’d have to beat both OSU and the refs on that 4th & 2 but I’d take that any day.
November 20th, 2018 at 8:07 PM ^
Godddd. Tough one I’m taking the field goal
November 20th, 2018 at 8:08 PM ^
I’ll take Moody and the 40 yarder...2 yds isn’t enough room, from the 6 yd line...then I’d take our D
November 20th, 2018 at 8:15 PM ^
I would prefer to see our enemies driven before us and to hear the lamentations of their women.
November 20th, 2018 at 8:29 PM ^
I think there is less chance of getting screwed by refs on the FG but then again Mike Lantry might disagree.
November 20th, 2018 at 8:39 PM ^
Do you hate yourself or something?
November 20th, 2018 at 8:43 PM ^
I'm likely alone on this one, but I'd prefer to be up by 5 and have our D line bring the pain and "make them feel you" obliterate everything in their path. I also assumed we win in either scenario and winning on defense fits the teams pattern for this season ?
November 20th, 2018 at 8:46 PM ^
42-24
November 20th, 2018 at 8:47 PM ^
OK, new one --
Fuck, kill, marry: Brian Kelly, Mark Dantonio, Urban Meyer
November 20th, 2018 at 8:58 PM ^
You don't want to marry Meyer, he cheats. You don't want to marry Dantonio, he never smiles and you'll hate your life. Brian Kelly will literally kill people for you.
November 20th, 2018 at 9:02 PM ^
Honestly, not enough info to make a decision. It depends on the gameflow.
Has Moody/Nordin been money until that point? Has our defense been playing lights out? Have any significant injuries occurred?
Assuming our defense is playing well, and no significant injuries, I'd rather take that second scenario. We have the lead so any number of outcomes can allow us to win (botched snap, fumble, incomplete pass, defensive stop, INT). We would only need one of those to happen.
In the first scenario, everything must go right for us to win, with very little margin for error. Snap needs to be right, ball has to be handled right, all blocking needs to be right, and the kick needs to be true.
Scenario 1 requires one of any "OR" events to happen. Scenario 2 requires a lengthy chain of "AND" to happen. Unless OSU is shredding us on the ground, I like the defensive stand better
November 20th, 2018 at 9:12 PM ^
What if on the FG attempt, Urban has all 3 time-outs and decides to use them all? My heart might actually burst in that situation.
Though it would be cool if we went ahead and kicked the FGs, missed all 3 after the TOs and then made the one that counts. That might kill Urban.
November 20th, 2018 at 9:18 PM ^
Did you go to F U?
November 20th, 2018 at 9:18 PM ^
40 yard field goal. This question made my stomach churn just thinking about it.
November 20th, 2018 at 9:25 PM ^
I don’t know how but downvote!! Lol the mere thought exercise of this is excruciating....
November 20th, 2018 at 9:40 PM ^
I think I'd rather have the D on the field protecting a lead. Moody is great but he is still a college kicker and a young one at that.
This proposition reminds me of that movie, Saw.
November 20th, 2018 at 10:34 PM ^
Would you saw off your baby toe if it meant Michigan won in Columbus 49-3, then beat Northwestern, Alabama, and Notre Dame?
November 21st, 2018 at 10:01 AM ^
Probably. All that thing does is get jammed anyway.
November 20th, 2018 at 10:27 PM ^
Easy question. Kicking the field goal.
November 20th, 2018 at 10:33 PM ^
In either case, I'd probably need some medical attention.
November 20th, 2018 at 10:40 PM ^
Given recent history against OSU and them crossing a line or not, I’ll take the FG attempt.
November 20th, 2018 at 11:14 PM ^
Trust the D. Up by 5 scenario.
November 21st, 2018 at 12:01 AM ^
The latter, quite obviously.
November 21st, 2018 at 12:06 AM ^
Up by 50 in the 1st half.
November 21st, 2018 at 12:49 AM ^
I’m going for the FG. After the fucking “spot” 2 years ago, I do not want this game coming down to any short yardage situation.
November 21st, 2018 at 11:54 AM ^
Don't care, I want the win no matter who we get it.
November 21st, 2018 at 7:06 PM ^
Just win baby! But to answer your question, no doubt I would go with the field goal. You would have to push OSU out of the red zone for me to consider the defensive stop scenario.
