I think Trayveon Williams at A&M has a great chance to win the award. He's been a lone bright spot on the offense this year for them.
I would love to see Karan win it, but if not him, then I'm going for Trayveon.

Williams is a great story, and I'm pleased to see him succeeding, but I'd be a little surprised if he won. The biggest knock on him is going to be the W/L split. In A&M's 6 wins, he's averaging 160.7 yards/game...in the 4 losses he's averaging 48.8 yards per game (and that includes 107 against Auburn, before they struggled to run the ball and salt away the win).

Interesting...the only senior. We are lucky to have kept such a good RB and a hard-working young man for so long.

Eh...lucky? I dunno. Guys stick around for reasons, and I think one of the reasons he stuck around was because he didn't have a great chance to get drafted last year. Playing through his senior year is something that has been beneficial for both parties (Michigan and Higdon).

somehow LJ Scott is going to be in Sparty's backfield for the 12th year in a row next year.
November 14th, 2018 at 1:48 PM ^
He's gonna be getting negative yards per carry at that point
November 14th, 2018 at 12:21 PM ^
Very well deserved.

What, no Mike Webber?
November 14th, 2018 at 12:35 PM ^
Nope, he had one too many b's in your post.
November 14th, 2018 at 12:51 PM ^
I don't see Webbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbber listed either.
November 14th, 2018 at 4:01 PM ^
Just after Warrinner.

That's an awesome honor. I'm guessing that he won't win it unless he goes out and Biakabutuka's Ohio State, but it's still some great validation for his return for his senior year.

I'd be good with him rushing for 300 yards against OSU.
November 14th, 2018 at 12:28 PM ^
Congrats to Higdon, he's been a workhorse for us.
November 14th, 2018 at 12:28 PM ^
Good for Higdon.
The only other B1G back on this list is Jonathan Taylor, who has over 1500 yards already but also four fumbles.

Looks like Damien Harris and Mike Webber should've stuck in the class. Too bad for them
November 14th, 2018 at 2:17 PM ^
But then we wouldn't have Higdon. I'm OK with how it worked out.
November 14th, 2018 at 4:02 PM ^
Yeah, but I really like Karan Higdon and it was their not coming here that made Higdon possible in a way, I believe. I am cool with it.
November 14th, 2018 at 12:43 PM ^
Are you sure that's everyone? I wonder what happened to Najee Harris and Mike Weber.
November 14th, 2018 at 12:46 PM ^
Najee is a backup at Alabama who gets time on the field and makes some excellent runs. He's solidly behind Damien Harris (man...) at the moment. He'll emerge next season.
Weber is a backup that gets almost equal PT at OSU and OSU's running game is underperforming without a running QB.

Would have been pretty sweet to have eno and AJ on the team. Oh well. If we had to have only one, Higdon would be it for this offense.
November 14th, 2018 at 12:51 PM ^
Eno Benjamin is an absolute stud btw
November 14th, 2018 at 12:53 PM ^
Hmmm...don't see Mike Weber's name on there.
In all seriousness, Higdon deserves this type of recognition. He's worked his butt off and has improved massively during his career.

AJ Dillon is just a sophomore? Why does it seem like he should be a Grad Student by now?
November 14th, 2018 at 2:43 PM ^
Because you are drunk. Again. Get it together, man!
November 14th, 2018 at 3:47 PM ^
Guess I'll quit and go to bed?
November 14th, 2018 at 3:38 PM ^
Higdon has been fantastic this year. He's very much earned this. Wish he would've gone off for like 250 yards against Rutger to pad his stats a little, but they seemed content to pack it in and let us air bomb them to death.

Go Karan!!
November 14th, 2018 at 6:27 PM ^
Well deserved. I know he’s got his 1000 yards for the year but I wish he had played long enough to get his 100 on Saturday.
November 14th, 2018 at 11:49 PM ^
Best in the nation his streak of 100 yd games says so but he’s also a great leader and hasn’t fumbled in forever
November 17th, 2018 at 12:35 AM ^
Well deserved for this young man, he has rounded out his game well from last year and has grown with the season, vision is still the biggest downside IMO but kudos for effort and tenacity.
