I think Trayveon Williams at A&M has a great chance to win the award. He's been a lone bright spot on the offense this year for them.

I would love to see Karan win it, but if not him, then I'm going for Trayveon.

Williams is a great story, and I'm pleased to see him succeeding, but I'd be a little surprised if he won.  The biggest knock on him is going to be the W/L split.  In A&M's 6 wins, he's averaging 160.7 yards/game...in the 4 losses he's averaging 48.8 yards per game (and that includes 107 against Auburn, before they struggled to run the ball and salt away the win).

Eh...lucky? I dunno. Guys stick around for reasons, and I think one of the reasons he stuck around was because he didn't have a great chance to get drafted last year. Playing through his senior year is something that has been beneficial for both parties (Michigan and Higdon).

Good for Higdon.

The only other B1G back on this list is Jonathan Taylor, who has over 1500 yards already but also four fumbles.

Hmmm...don't see Mike Weber's name on there.

In all seriousness, Higdon deserves this type of recognition.  He's worked his butt off and has improved massively during his career.

Higdon has been fantastic this year. He's very much earned this. Wish he would've gone off for like 250 yards against Rutger to pad his stats a little, but they seemed content to pack it in and let us air bomb them to death.

Best in the nation his streak of 100 yd games says so but he’s also a great leader and hasn’t fumbled in forever

Well deserved for this young man, he has rounded out his game well from last year and has grown with the season, vision is still the biggest downside IMO but kudos for effort and tenacity.
