McCaffrey Broken Collarbone

McCaffrey broke his collarbone per Harbaugh.  Fuck.  Peters came off the bench for the last snap so maybe he's the backup.

Super unfortunate, but thankfully I have more confidence in the oline and running backs. Wish he wasn't hurt obviously, but itd be way worse if we were an offense like 2017

I’m not going to panic, but this is terrible for him andthe team.  This means Patterson MUST stay healthy because we now don’t have a legit backup....Peters can’t  run or lead, Milton is a unproven true freshman.       I’m not sure why Harbaugh is having him run at all in that spot....hand the ball off to one of the 7 running backs on the team. Keep your QB clean.

Because I have eyes...did you watch games last year?   Peters was not good man.  Dylan went past him on the depth chart for a reason.  He is a much better runner, passer, and leader.  He has an “it” factor that Peters never had.  If Patterson gets injured, who do  want under center in Columbus, Ohio? McCaffrey or Peters?

You clearly believe most of the "Chat Sports" - level bullshit about Michigan football.

I'm not a super-high-volume user of this site but I can still recognize you as a concern troll.

Stepping back a level, there are an amazing number of idiotic posts in this thread. You'd think Brandon Peters was a 5'8" walk-on from Ypsi.

There should be no debate here. McCaffrey is the clear #2, and for several reasons outside of his legs. "Lightyears" is an exaggeration by definition, not to be taken literally. Arguing Peters is better is untenable. I expect Milton will get more reps and be the new #2 irregardless.

Well, that's not great to hear but if Peters is recovered from his earlier injury, that still gives us a backup with a fair amount of experience.

Welp... Rutgers is Rutgers so Shea should not play in the second half of that game or need to run much read option. I would hope they go back to old school Michigan and just bash Rutgers into submission and get to the backups quickly.

Depending on the severity of it, he's probably out for at least 6 weeks.

Well, we need to get Brandon all the snaps he can get in the coming weeks. He can't have too much RPO experience and even if he does, he's not the most fleet of foot...Shea has got to stay healthy.

Seriously, he's got to stay healthy

I am absolutely sick for Dylan McCaffrey. However I feel like Peters only came in behind McCaffrey to preserve Joe Milton's redshirt status going forward. Now Milton can play in 3 more games and still maintain his RS. Personally I'd hope for Milton to come in for Shea in a real game situation.

I didn't like running him with the lead.  If you want to rub it in, let him drop back and throw it deep.  If you want to run clock, take the knee and get out of there or just let Tru run.

I really like DCaff's game but he's going to have to learn how to slide instead of diving head first and throwing his shoulders into everyone...every time.
