Be prepared for 2 home night games
Heard this from someone I know who has it on good authority that Michigan-Penn State will be a night game and it has been confirmed as a night game even before the season started.
I've never been one to make a thread like this but I'm calling my shot on this one and let the chips fall where they may.
This morning when the news came out about next weekend being a night game I checked with them on it and even after asking them about how there was a 2 for 1 deal with 2 night game sin 2017 in exchange for 1 in 2018, they still told me it's happening.
So prepare yourselves. Be early, be loud. For all the remaining games starting with this Saturday at Noon.
Go Blue!!!!!

When's the last time you had fun beating a ranked opponent at night?
October 2nd, 2018 at 9:41 AM ^
We've only ever had one night game against a ranked team at home, which we won. So then.

Getting higher tv ratings than Alabama is always fun, for real!
October 2nd, 2018 at 8:20 PM ^
Perfect!
This blog would downvote a comment that points out Michigan is getting better tv ratings than Alabama.
PERFECT!!!!

A home night game atmosphere will help us in those two games. Michigan is 4-1 in home night games.
October 1st, 2018 at 6:31 PM ^
I heard all summer long how "night games on the road" are so tough, I was actually thinking that we should do this more often to opposing teams.
October 1st, 2018 at 9:50 PM ^
It was summer time in northern Michigan
October 1st, 2018 at 5:48 PM ^
It's going to snow.
How's that for a white out?
October 1st, 2018 at 6:44 PM ^
Taylor Lewan's hosting the tailgate. How's that for snow?
October 1st, 2018 at 10:55 PM ^
Taylor Lewan invited Rick James. How's that for snow?
October 1st, 2018 at 11:19 PM ^
I've always wondered if you have psychological problems.
October 2nd, 2018 at 1:17 AM ^
Rick James invited Snow, how’s that for The Informer?

OK. This is unprecendented? Not exactly. It happened last year. And here's the thing, one network gets a night game, and another gets the other. Wow, shocking that TV networks that rule college football, get to dictate game times. Like this is a new thing. Harbaugh worked in the NFL where you have no control over when you play. And people are acting like money doesn't matter in telivising games. Well, it does. Life is short. Wake up and accept reality.

Yeah, I don't get this sudden rash of complaints. Did the Netflix watchers forget what broadcast TV was like over the last 8 months?
It's been like this for as long as I can remember.
Since DVRs I really have no complaints. Start watching when you want, get up when you want, skip 30 seconds when appropriate. How hard is this.
October 1st, 2018 at 11:20 PM ^
This blog would go out of business without all the inbred complaining.

I may fuck my sister but not once, not ever, have i complained sbout it!
good day sir!

I really hope they give out the maize pom poms for those games, and mic the croud noise as well.

It does sound really cool though.
October 1st, 2018 at 6:04 PM ^
Penn states entire stadium had white pom poms. 15,000 towels in the corner of the stadium won't do justice like 100,000 towels or pom poms throughout the entire stadium.
October 1st, 2018 at 7:03 PM ^
Fuck Penn State, but that white out is awesome.
October 1st, 2018 at 7:10 PM ^
I agree, I honestly think they are pumping sub wolfers to make the ground shake like so many players claim happen at that stadium during a white out. We need to up our game as the 12th man and spend the coin for free towels/pom poms under every seat, and mic the crowd noise. It's not as if Michigan doesn't have the money.

Woofers.

The white out didn't help Franklin to much Saturday.
October 1st, 2018 at 9:42 PM ^
FG Franklin??
October 1st, 2018 at 10:11 PM ^
There probably isn't much that will help with Franklin's level of coaching malfeasance.
October 1st, 2018 at 10:05 PM ^
So it is BYOPP? I still have the one from UTL I. And the light up glasses.
October 2nd, 2018 at 7:46 AM ^
What is with this dumb crap of only giving out towels/pom poms to the students? That does nothing.
October 1st, 2018 at 6:03 PM ^
Not confident at all that we will be able to score enough to beat Penn State
October 1st, 2018 at 6:04 PM ^
Yes it is and it will be cold. They have been planning as if Nov 3 was going to be night game all along. Wisky and Nebraska were the question marks. They haven't announced anything due to TV requirements and contracts.
October 1st, 2018 at 6:18 PM ^
It wasn't cold for Minnesota last year. November is hit and miss. Besides, Packer fans live for cold night games, why should it be any different here?
October 1st, 2018 at 7:36 PM ^
Were you there? It was cold and wet.
October 1st, 2018 at 7:53 PM ^
I was there. The tailgate was extremely wet, but it cleared up for the game. I recall it not being “that” cold. It wasn’t warm though.
October 2nd, 2018 at 7:36 AM ^
Yes, it rained, but it wasn't cold. I overdressed and was sweating. It was probably in the mid 40s.
October 1st, 2018 at 6:18 PM ^
Maybe we will get lucky and have unseasonably warm weather with a warm front.
The winter seems to be coming later in the season the last couple of years.
October 1st, 2018 at 7:21 PM ^
Winter is coming......
October 1st, 2018 at 8:42 PM ^
You sir, are correct
October 1st, 2018 at 11:23 PM ^
Yeah, cold. Cancel that game. But wait, maybe Jim Harbaugh's brain will freeze and he will move Brandon Peters up to 2nd string, ahead of Dylan McCaffrey, like you say it should be. So, don't cancel the game.
You act like it's going to be 20 below.
October 2nd, 2018 at 12:59 AM ^
No. He just said "it will be cold." Its safe to say that it will be cold in southern Michigan in November.
We get it. You don't like him. You don't need to be obtuse.
October 2nd, 2018 at 8:31 PM ^
I don't like him? Really? Think a little.
It's not going to be cold. It will be like 40? Warmer? That's cold? That's great football weather! There should be no mention of cold at this time of year.
