The Texas episode had me dying. I'll also never be able to see Bill Cubit without laughing.
Shutdown Fullcast impersonating resurrected Joe Jamail is the funniest bit in college football media.
I’m confused.

You had to be there.

Those nerds are capable of being funny, but they are not capable of being as funny as they think they are...
That's why I couldn't stick with it any more, they're just way "too cool for school." and I could never warm to the schtick.

They have a very particular sense of humor, and it works until it doesn't. And when the wheels do fall off, they fall off sorta hard.

It was a good gimmick for 30 minutes and then they ran out of steam. And not making a Fulmer joke (with Holly involved!) when they go to the coaches poll section proved them to be imposters. (I'm kidding, but still)

Must be an inside joke.

It's a joke about Michigan fans being elitist intellectuals who look down on everyone and worship Bo. Which is... not entirely wrong.

Seriously, how many disgraced former coaches can one program have OSU? Do they ever go out on a high note?

wtf are you talking about

I was unable to see any humor through the horrifying mirror of self recognition.

Well, fuck I didn't want to know what hell this post is about.
For those wondering “Shutdown Fullcast” is a college football podcast and the hosts preview Michigan’s schedule on the latest episode. As a gag they previewed it pretending to be Michigan fans. If you can laugh at yourself it’s not too bad. If you can’t, don’t bother.
Haven't been a fan of this gimmick this offseason, although I had a feeling they were going to do us. I enjoyed the South Carolina episode, then this schtick got old, IMO.
I thought the Florida State episode was pretty good as well, but otherwise agree that the schtick in each episode is usually only funny for a couple minutes.
I also had a feeling they would do us, given the large Michigan contingent in their comment section, but thought there was a chance they would do either OSU given recent news (perhaps too edgy for their taste), or MSU. Lots of potential MSU material, from the whole disrespekt thing to preferring to play sloppy football in a monsoon to playing up the irony of MSU fans outraged about OSU (not saying there are lots of such fans, but it would be a bit the Fullcast crew could do).

Yeah actually the Talkin Bout the Noles was pretty good too.
