Not going anywhere:

Our long regional nightmare is over. LFFFFFGGGGG!!!!!!

UPDATE: The Athletic's Brendan Quinn reports Beilein and Michigan are on the verge of agreeing to terms on a contract extension:

A source tells The Athletic that Beilein and the school have nearly finalized a two-year extension on his previous three-year contract. Now a five-year contract, the new deal with coming with a rolling extension, which will keep the agreement at five years after each season. It is believed he will receive a raise from $3.37 million annually to just under $4 million per year.

He adds that Beilein did not receive an offer from the Pistons, who are still looking at former Raptors coach Dwane Casey and current Spurs assistant Ime Udoka. Multiple reporters, including ESPN's NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, are framing this as Beilein pulling out of the search, which is nice optics for the program.

I am all for Beilein going to the pros if that is what he wants, but don't go to the Pistons, where a good coach will be fired in 3 years.

Regardless, happy he is back.  Go win it all next year!!!!!!!!

Hopefully the Pistons are now close to hiring their new head coach.

I ended up placing a wager online when this whole process started for the Pistons a month ago and ended up getting Casey at +600.

With my luck I can almost guarantee you that they end hiring the other guy now LOL.

Well it is the PISTONS after all.  I'm sure they will discover somebody who has never been considered for a HC position.  We'll find out in six months that he can't coach and the Pistons ownership will figure it out after three years.

Sam was saying yesterday how if Beilein got to the second interview and withdraw himself, then it could look favorable to recruits.  As in he is good enough that the NBA is interested, but he is choosing to coach in college.  Similar to Saban staying at Alabama.

Great news.  Had JB gone, it would have painful.  I'm happy for him, for his players and for the Michigan community that he is staying.

Go Blue!!

Thank you, Coach, for the great coaching, for the great teaching, and for running a clean — and respectful — program. Also, thanks to this early summer kerfuffle, for the reminder how much we value all that, and you.

Nah. When you go to post a picture, you have to click on the little image icon. Then you click the upload button at the top of the popup window, find the picture, upload it, and then click on the image you just uploaded to put it in your post. You're basically creating a directory of uploaded images that you can choose from. Screenshot at Jun 06 13-49-05.png
