BBrown: Update With Bryan Mone
Yesterday someone asked whether or not Bryan Mone had sent in his early enrollment papers along with the other recruits planning to do so. I got in touch with Bryan himself and he told me that he did indeed send his papers in.
Earlier today someone told me on Twitter that it was being reported by his coach that the papers had not been sent in yet. I am going to dig a bit deeper to try and find out for sure but I'd like to believe that Bryan himself knows if his papers are completed or not.
Bryan did say that he is very excited to head to Ann Arbor, but also very nervous to leave his mother behind in Utah. Michigan is a long way from home for Bryan but he assured me that he is very happy with his commitment and Michigan and knows that it's what's best for him and his family.

He might the recruit I'm most excited about (or Peppers obviously). He seems like a really solid guy and is fairly under-the-radar even considering he's a top 100 type guy. I could easily see him being a captain one day

He and Pipkins are our #1 and #2 NGs from Opening Day. And I really believe that'll be 2 years of smiling at what we have in the middle.

Wormley is a 3/5 tech, not a nose.

Willie Henry seems the most likely to move to NT even if Pipkins recovers quickly. Maybe Maurice Hurst as #2 until Pip returns, though Hurst's future seems to be at 3 tech - very quick.

Wormley's not a nose tackle.

taken care of at home before heading to Ann Arbor. Having to take care of his brother like he does is a huge indicator of his stellar character. Regardless of how he ends up doing on the football field, I'm proud as a Michigan graduate that we'll have someone like him on the team.

Is James Blackmon Jr. decision coming tonight ?
Sorry I know this has nothing to do with this young man but I had to ask if this rumor was true.

I read it on 247sports. http://247sports.com/Player/James-Blackmon-Jr-11979
It does say likely but I wasn't for sure so I thought I would ask .

Looks like KY, and it makes sense with the race they have to fill their last spot or two.

I came across a YouTube video of his Under Armour game jersey presentation, and he looks like a VERY quiet kid.... Also, absolutely massive...
2nd favorite recruit in the class!

His long TD run was one of the most impressive plays any of our recruits had in high school. Good Offer list too.

I love Samoan football players. They seem to have this super human size and strength. We don't get many of them as they seem to stay on the west coast. I know we have Houma at fullback. I wish we could get more Pacific islanders.

...in the OP (Brandon reporting that Mone says he has signed, while Mone's HS coach says he hasn't), in this morning's Recruiting Roundup on The Michigan Insider, Sam Webb stated that Mone has not sent in his early enrollment paperwork, but that it should be completed soon.

Shoe, thanks for clarifying - I saw your tweet to Sam and was wondering what that was about.

...my above comment a little more. Sam's response to me was that as of yesterday, Mone's paperwork hadn't been received and that he'd check again today. So, Sam is speaking to a source inside the program. Brandon is speaking to the S-A. At some point, it will all jibe.

Are early enrollment papers binding? It appears that if you enroll in January you do not sign a NLI, but I was not clear if someone could sign the early enrollment paperwork but still go somewhere else.

it would be surprising to me if he didn't have some second thoughts, if there really is a delay in getting his papers in. Given how unimpressive our DL has been this season, we need players like him, especially now that Pipkins is out.
