NBA Draft Open Thread (Not OT - Yay!)

The chance to see where Burke and Hardaway end up. Find out if your team can get one of them, someone else good, or biffs on the pick. And if you're in Ann Arbor, staying off the roads and out of the disaster area traffic downtown became tonight. Crack open a tasty adult beverage and get ready for some draftin'.

and what kind of comment is this "I heard when Trey was younger, that he drew himself in an NBA jersey". Who didn't do something like that when they were a kid?

Brandon Knight is our point guard.  We just drafted him in the lottery.  If you start drafting PGs all the time, you become the T-Wolves.

Now if they follow this up with Ray McCallum, I'll be pleased.

I joked about Burke ending up in some place I truly care less about "like minny or utah" after the finals game. Pistons can eat a dick. lol

This actually hurts.  I wanted Detroit to take Burke more than any pick in my NBA existance.  I actually like KCP a lot - was my second choice after Burke.  But not thinking Burke would be available to having him there, ready to be a Piston for life (I'm optimistic), and making my son a Pistons fan for life as well....

And they passed.  I'm sad.

Good luck Trey.  Utah might be good for you if the rumors are true, but going to my absolute least favorite team makes me even less happy.

This makes sense for Minnesota if they're getting two picks. Don't be at all surprised if THJ is one of them, either-they need shooters for Ricky to dish to.

PG is the most important position on the court. Unless you have a Lebron you need to have a PG on the court. But what has Joe done? Draft wings. I have no issue with the Monroe and Drummond picks. You need bigs. But the Pistons had a shot at a PG. As of now their plans are to move Knight back to a position he does not fit.

The Pistons have given their fans no reason to watch their product. This franchise will remain moribund for the foreseeable future.
