As far as I know I'm still here.

As far as I know I'm still here.

Can people still see my comments or do I exist in a world where I can still access everything yet cannot communicate?  You'd be doing me a great favor if someone can reply that this is visible....

Apparently not.

Get in the car Russ.

If they lose their last 5 and the Indians win their last 5, I'll ban myself if Brian hasn't already taken care of that.

The treatment you recieved

The treatment you recieved was shameful, especially because you've never been anything but a great supporter of the site.  If you never came back I wouldn't blame you.  The chance for a competitor to seize MGoMarketshare is here, I get the distinct impression that there are quite a few users that would bail if a viable (and free) alternative existed.

No idea, but perhaps the Mods

No idea, but perhaps the Mods realized that I didn't do anything except voice an opinion that Brian overreacted.  I stand by that opinion, so I suppose maybe I just haven't  controlled the puck and I'm still subject to a delayed ban-hammer.  In the meantime, Bryan Mac has pulled his goalie for an extra attacker.

My grievance is with Mother

My grievance is with Mother Nature. Seasonal allergies also happen to coincide with the best times to be outdoors. She didn't have to do that.

Are you addressing me?  I

Are you addressing me?  I don't post in threads that I don't have interest in.  I'm not a "this isn't thread worthy" guy.

Like you, I don't enjoy the UFRs and have never to my recollection ever posted in a UFR thread.  I don't like hockey and skip those too.

I do like soccer, and will participate in those threads. And if "soccer sucks guy" shows up, I will likely question why he felt the need to make an ass out of himself when it is clear others are enjoying the conversation.

But when quality, long-time posters are being mistreated because of what a good chunk of this blog's readership agrees is an overreaction, I will speak up.  It's a matter of defending principle.  I wasn't raised to walk away when you see injustice.

In conclusion - what the hell are you talking about?

Whoa, whoa, whoa - wait a

Whoa, whoa, whoa - wait a second.  The "putting the food on the table" refernce was used because it was employed on about 4 separate instances by Bryan Mac (a moderator) to explain Brian's actions in the original thread.  I suggest you read through that thread and I believe you will find that youhave a beef with the mods, not me.

I can't speak for others,

I can't speak for others, although ChiTown has a loyal bunch of long-time backers so he must have been doing something right.  As for me, while I am capable and have, at times, been incendiary, I think if you did actually take the time to look at my posting history, you'll see about 99 percent of my comments/threads are positive in nature and don't involve arguing with other posters.  When I do find a reason to argue, I'll be the first to admit I have a tendency to drag those battles out in a thread, but those instances are indeed rare - believe it or not.

Also, where did I say anything about this having anything to do with Brian making money?  I standby my opinion that he overreacted, but I never once posited the reasons why he may have done so.

It tells me that if current

It tells me that if current trajectories are maintained, the blog will have a membership consisting solely of "Ghost of" accounts. Apparently that's what puts food on the Cook table.

Priceless. I think I actually

Priceless. I think I actually have a solid rep around here and have gotten into very few arguments with posters not named Section 1. Maybe I'm delusional but it seems as if my contributions to the board and diaries have been appreciated...

You seem to have mistaken me

You seem to have mistaken me for someone else. I wasn't even involved in the original thread that led to this. Whatever this is.

Idiot is a bit strong to

Idiot is a bit strong to describe Brian and his ridiculous overreaction.

Having just now looked at

Having just now looked at that thread, I see nary an insult.  In this thread, I see an over the top overreaction on the part of the MGoProprietor.

In the original thread, I see people making harmless comments about a kids age based on a photograph that...makes him look very young.  God forbid someone says you look young, what a horrible insult!  In this thread, I see terrible misrepresentations of what was said by MGoBrewMom, et al.

In the original thread, I see people debating, in a civil manner, whether or not contacting 16 year olds is appropriate.  By the very fact that the recruit is, in Brian's words, "insulted" by innocuous age jokes gives some validity to the side of the argument that there should be some cutoff on reaching out to early-teens.

And if this post is somehow subject to a "crazy interpretation", well, it's been nice knowing y'all.

Way to change your argument

Way to change your argument when you're proven wrong.

Guy is a class act, great contributor back into the community.  He was driving home after watching MNF with friends and taking back some leftover pizza - something i'm sure we've all done before.  The police found no reason to suspect he was under any influence, so why are you out for him?  I can predict your next argument - that the cops are under pro athletes thumbs so he got off easy.....tell that to Miguel Cabrera or any of the other star athletes who have not gotten special treatment in metro Detroit.

Your vendetta is tiresome.

Guy played every game the

Guy played every game the first two years of his contract.  EVERY GAME.  So yeah, you're just wrong.

See, Dave Brandon has people

See, Dave Brandon has people loving pizza so much that they break their arm trying to save them.  Soon, it will be the same for Michigan.  When Michigan falls off your front seat, even Ohio will break arms trying to save them.

Interested in doubling down?

Methinks you mourned Hugo Chavez' death.

Since moving to Arizona 8

Since moving to Arizona 8 years ago, this was the first game that wasn't accessible on directv (unless you want to fork over cash for espn game plan). Even Delaware State had more accessibility. Just because something is on at night does not make it important.

That second half will give the team some

That second half will give the team some confidence. Defense played well and won a road game despite four turnovers, I think in hindsight it was probably important to dig the hole and fight through it with no margin of error.

The MEAC fields some of the worst football teams

The MEAC fields some of the worst football teams in the country year in and year out. Pull up FAMUs results this year to see how poor they are. Akron would beat them by 50.

You have to keep in mind that

You have to keep in mind that the regime that was responsible for drafting Weeden and Richardson is out the door.  I wouldn't expect this regime to be as inept, though Cleveland always has the ability to surprise me.

Taking him in the first place

Taking him in the first place at that draft slot was an awful move. To admit a mistake (even though it is a different regime) and move on and still get value is not always easy to do and a great move.

Cleveland is probably

Cleveland is probably thinking that running backs that average 3.5 yards per carry are a dime a dozen, and that they can sell high before his value is gone, like fellow Alabama back Mark Ingram.

I have no skin in this game, but its a great move for Cleveland in my opinion.

So, any Browns fans know

So, any Browns fans know who's going to get the tailback carries now? Depth chart has Bobby Rainey, a 2nd year guy out of Western Kentucky, as the second stringer, and no 3rd stringer is listed.

If you have the KNOWLEDGE, help me and my fantasy team out with some insider info!

A number of those guys are

A number of those guys are transfers though, so while they may be new to Akron's 2 deep, they aren't new to FBS football.  I think that's lost when you simply look at the returning players.

Not that we shouldn't have handled them better, but those guys that are first year players for Akron (by way of larger FBS programs) are probably significantly better than the guys they replaced, even with less experience.

Yeah, I had thought about

Yeah, I had thought about adding Mundy and Cox, but I wanted to keep it to the guys that finished their careers as Wolverines and identify themselves as such.

Id say dropping the pass against Virginia that

Id say dropping the pass against Virginia that would have run the clock out was just a little more significant, but glad that you like it nonetheless.

1)  I don't know, except

1)  I don't know, except Michigan did play some 3-4 when Woodley was here, perhaps that helped him adjust?  Also, he was drafted to play that position, whereas Graham was drafted for a 4-3 and has had to endure a system switch.

2) Yes, I'm certainly not the first person to call Denard D-Rob.  I think it's probably his most common nickname after shoelace.....

3) Remains to be seen, but they still have a dynamic passing game and Tate is explosive even if Foster is slowing.  If I had to bet, I'd say they are still one of the top offenses this year.

I don't think I ever spelled that right without having to first be corrected.  Shame on me.  I corrected the error in the OP.

You're right about  targets,

You're right about  targets, I guess what I should have said is Brady was likely happiest with Amendola and Edelmen after the game for making plays.

Starting next week I can drop

Starting next week I can drop the injured guys down to the bottom under a separate header.  The list could have been longer had I also included guys who played for Michigan but played for another school after leaving Ann Arbor - guys like Cox, Mundy, Mallet, etc.  Thought I'd keep it to the guys we really identify with the program instead of the fringe types.

You're always right, Section

You're always right, Section 1.  It's the rest of the world that's always wrong.

I prefer participating in

I prefer participating in threads, as you will see I've done if you read down, rather than downvoting them and posting a "yay" simply because I'm too much of a man to enjoy soccer, as Wolverines Dominate seems to be.  You seem to have a lot of anger.

Defending Gholston?  I said

Defending Gholston?  I said his play was unsportsmanlike.  You want me to say it was the worst thing ever?  it wasn't.

As far as Peppers - here are three hits worse than anything Suh has ever done:

Peppers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guG2vd-uAfY helmet-to-helmet  hit on Aaron Rodgers - Rodgers was spitting blood afterwards.

Peppers bodyslamming Stafford rather than simply finishing the tackle, causing a separated shoulder:

Here's a 1950's style clothesline on a fully accellerating Megatron:

Being at work, I can't keep going, but the examples are out there.

That is how it works in the

That is how it works in the NHL....suspensions/fines are determined based upon the extent of an injury inflicted.  I think it's fair to say that Gholston's play, like some of Suh's plays, are unsportsmanlike, but becuause they aren't debilitating, what harm did they really cause?

I'd rather have Suh go "Ultimate Warrior" and have my QB standing than have Peppers break collarbones and tear knee ligaments. You're a Chicago fan - why no outcry over Peppers style of play?

I remember that, but it was

I remember that, but it was BS IMO.  Of the infractions that get used against Suh in the dirty play debate, that play on Cutler is easily the easiest to defend.  In fact, it was a damn good, clean football play.  He certainly is aggressive, but he's not intentionally doing anything but trying to get Cutler down and have the ball pop loose in the process. Plus he makes contact with Cutler's shoulder, not his head.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ntw8mg0SMhI

I'll give you that the rest of the examples were stupid but not as bad as they are made out to be.

Yes - Suh did those things

Yes - Suh did those things (although your descriptions are dramatic especially for the Cutler incident), and, in order, the opposing players Evan Dietrich Smith, Jay Cutler, and Andy Daulton were injured for how many games?

I'm not saying I approve of the antics, but it's WWF out there.  It looks bad but nobody is ever hurt.  Either Suh is the luckiest man on earth or he knows what he's doing enough to not injure an opponent.
